...had to spend it on yourself and only on fun/frivolous non essential things/travel what would you do/buy?

Travel with the DC and DH. Thailand, Vietman, Australia, Fiji, NZ, America, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Egypt, SA, crossrail Europe.

If it had to be goods I'd make our garden into some extravagant two storey affair (it's tiny!) so that DS1 has a bigger area for Football, it a sunken trampoline for DS2. Then it sinks and a new garden comes out (a bit like the NFL/Football pitches at the new Tottenham ground) and it's a chill out area for us.
Also a nice oxblood leather jacket, on going hair appointments, best tickets to the Cursed Child and the Lion King, tickets to the next World Cup - if we qualify....

I think I'm all spent up!x

All that for 10k?

Me and my husband were daydreaming about our “one day” trip to Japan and we were imagining 10k for the whole trip and all the sacrifices we’d have to make to get it that cheap.

2 weeks in Aruba in the best hotel with loads of day trips and excursions! Me and DH went on honeymoon and have always said we would love to take the kids but it's too expensive for us at the moment.

I’d either:

A) drop the entire £10k on one week heli skiing in the selkirks in Canada

Or

B) take 2 months off work. Spend a month in Oz seeing friends. 2 weeks ski touring in Canada. A week with a friend and the reminder money with her living it up.

I'd book two holidays - one for a few of our close friends to go to Norfolk for the weekend but in a nice big cottage all together. I'd also book DisneyWorld for summer 2020 and take my parents too. That'd probably be the best part of £10,000 but if there was a bit left I'd buy the DC an LOL doll each as I'm over invested in them and myself an Isabella Oliver or Tiffany Rose maternity dress for a wedding in December.

A new sofa, a Chanel boy bag, and a weekend away somewhere with the whole family:)

BitchQueen90 · 01/10/2018 08:54

Holiday. Somewhere I'd never be able to usually afford, like Bora Bora.

Does hiring someone to do the DIY instead of having ourselves (not) doing it count? Grin

Family holiday.
Japan or Sri Lanka tour.
