If you're around 5ft1 where do you buy your jeans?

Looking for recommendations please, somewhere reasonably priced. I like Dorothy Perkins petite range but struggle to find anything elsewhere.

Asda for my high waisted skinny jeans, fitted at the waist (which never happens) stop at the ankle. I love them.

NameChangeJustThisOnce1 · 25/09/2018 23:45

I get them from Primark mainly because they're cheap... I do have to roll them inside out sometimes! I get jeans from the petite range in Tesco as well which fit perfectly fine on me.

AlwaysFuckingTired · 26/09/2018 12:30

Thanks everyone. Going to have a shop around next payday, will update with what I find Smile

5'1. M&S short fit me perfectly. They're nothing special but do me just fine. Boden petite (in the sale!) a good length too.

bluetongue · 26/09/2018 14:00

I’ve ended up buying 7/8 length or ‘ankle grazer’ jeans. After a childhood and early adulthood of jeans that never really look right after being altered it’s been a revelation. I do have particularly short legs though, despite being over 5 feet.

noeffingidea · 26/09/2018 14:07

My daughter's 5' 2" and I buy her jeans from Primark kids department (she's an adult), age 13-14 fit her nicely, they're £6 a pair and last forever.

AlwaysFuckingTired · 01/10/2018 12:48

Can confirm Primark are good if you're a shortie looking for a cheap pair of jeans. Nice fit and just the right length for me.

5ft0er here. This is why I love skinnies and jeggings, it doesn't actually matter that much if they're a bit too long as you can just kind of crumple them at the ankle.
Primark do a 28in leg which is fine for me. New Look, also 28in. Occasionally TKMaxx.

TowerRingInferno · 01/10/2018 13:08

Levi’s

Buy them in bulk each time I go to the US

tinyradish · 01/10/2018 13:13

I'm 5ft & get Topshop Jamie jeans.

They do waist measurement & leg length. Once you know what fits you, no need to try them on again! I just order a pair or 2 a year.

NordicNobody · 01/10/2018 13:17

Newlook and H&M always fit me best. I used to wear Next petite but have found now they only flatter if you're both short and very slim. Although I'm still 5"2 I'm sadly no longer a size 8 haha.

AlwaysFuckingTired · 01/10/2018 13:28

@NordicNobody I'm having this problem also. I've gone from size 8 pre babies to 14 post babies and I'm now trying to figure out how to dress my new shape.

M&S or Lands End. I'm 5'2" with a 29" inside leg, so end up with a 30" leg.

cholka · 01/10/2018 13:44

Learn to take them up yourself, it's less time and effort in the long run!

NordicNobody · 01/10/2018 17:48

Yup, ''twas babies that did for me also. Little buggers 😖

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 01/10/2018 18:07

DD is 5’1” and buys hers from the Levis shop, they shorten them for her for free and she saves on the purchase price with her student discount. Her last pair she actually got for half price in the sale.

Proseccoagain · 01/10/2018 20:52

5 foot nothing here, M & S and Sainsbury's short.

EmpressJewel · 01/10/2018 21:15

Uniqlo, as they do free alterations.

ToastyFingers · 01/10/2018 21:29

New look for me, I'm 5''2.
Next are alright, topshop would be good if you've got Slim legs, I'm a bit more thigh-sy and they don't seem to fit me right on the legs, even when they fit nicely on the waist/hips.

snop · 01/10/2018 21:38

M&S and next petite

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 02/10/2018 07:10

Uniqlo, as they do free alterations.

I'd forgotten all about that.
