Things you hardly ever do that other people probably do on a regular basis...

I was putting petrol in the car today and realised that because DH nearly always does it (despite me owning my own car and driving to work every day) that I am nearly 50 and have probably filled a car with petrol a couple of dozen times in my life.

Having people round to my house - I'm not very sociable and live very rurally. I've just realised the last time any one came round to my house (other than the builder) was at Easter. This doesn't bother me at all - my job brings me into contact with a lot of people all day long so I love the solitude of home - because of the place I live I tend to meet friends at a central location.

Drink tea and cofffee , i hate coffee , will occasionally have a cup of tea and then leave most of it in fact i dont. really like any hot drinks .

BillywigSting · 22/09/2018 21:05

Put spiders outside when I find them in the house, especially if they have made a web.

I quite like them anyway but lots of them come inside in autumn to escape the cold and die if you turf them out.

I'm quite keen on their fly murdering too, I really really loathe flies.

I hardly ever wear makeup, heels or proper pants. I wear a lot of tunics and dresses so I usually wear leggings or tights.

I definitely don't garden as often as others as evidenced by the abundance of weeds.

I don't meet up with my friends all that often either. Once a month or so is often enough. We keep in touch almost daily by text/social media /phone but rarely meet up.

This actually suits me well because as much as I love them to bits I find socialising utterly exhausting.

Watch the telly. I think it might actually be years now since I watched TV. It's always Netflix or YouTube.

Drink. I still have a bottle of rum rattling around the back of the cupboard from last Christmas. I do like it, I just never think to have some.

Read women’s magazines
Watch any kind of reality tv
Wear heels
Listen to any kind of pop music (exacerbates my tinnitus)
Have any kind of background music/radio/tv on (same reason)
Go to the shops (also noise related)-do everything on line
Touch any kind of wet food eg meat, fish etc- can’t watch cookery programmes where the cooks all have their hands in the food- really turns my stomach.

SophieDevereaux · 22/09/2018 21:17

So much I relate to on here.

I dont watch soaps or reality TV. I'm not interested in watching any sport on TV.

I try really hard not to hug people or be hugged. Sadly it is almost impossible as people in general seem to have become more touchy feely in recent years.
If I can avoid a social hug I am delighted.

I don't do Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
I don't talk on the phone.
I don't have people around.
I don't exercise.

LittleBookofCalm · 22/09/2018 21:49

Non hugger here too

MismatchedStripySocks · 22/09/2018 21:52

Don’t seem to have a social life 😥 Have tried but it never works. All I want is a couple of mates.

Pompom42 · 22/09/2018 22:04

Iron
Blow dry my hair
Been to Wagamama
Gone up in my loft

I don't iron anything, literally nothing at all. I never blow dry my hair. My hair dryer broke around 20 years ago and I didn't bother buying another. I always see pics of people on insta at Wagamama, I've never been. I only went to Subway for first time about 2 months ago. I've never gone up in my loft, too scared as the ladder isn't fixed and I'd have massive anxiety about getting down!

I’ve never been in our loft. I’ve poked my head through the hatch but it looks dark and filthy in there. We don’t store anything up there so I just forget about it TBH.
Hardly ever wear make up.
Wear heels about once every couple of years.
Never watch xfactor, soaps or reality tv.

Cellardoor23 · 22/09/2018 22:39

I've never been to Wagamama either. And I'm awful for talking on the phone. Hate it with a passion. I would rather send a text or an email.

GimmeBread · 22/09/2018 22:39

Clean the house. Fucking hell, I'll sit on my bum every night and all weekend and not consider getting up to hoover/dust/clean the bathroom/wash the car/clean the bins. It doesn't occur to me! Unless I know I'm getting visitors then I go crazy!

The only thing I do regularly is wash the dishes, tidy up and do the laundry. That's it. Clean the loo every day? What?!

Cellardoor23 · 22/09/2018 22:41

I'm don't watch X factor either. I think I gave up on that programme a good few years ago. Same as most reality tv programmes. Big Brother, that's another one.
