I was putting petrol in the car today and realised that because DH nearly always does it (despite me owning my own car and driving to work every day) that I am nearly 50 and have probably filled a car with petrol a couple of dozen times in my life.

Having people round to my house - I'm not very sociable and live very rurally. I've just realised the last time any one came round to my house (other than the builder) was at Easter. This doesn't bother me at all - my job brings me into contact with a lot of people all day long so I love the solitude of home - because of the place I live I tend to meet friends at a central location.

Shopping.
Clubbing/partying.
In a similar vein - intentionally getting drunk (although I thoroughly enjoy a glass or two of wine, throwing gallons of the stuff down myself so I feel like death the next day is never high on my to do list).
Lock up - DH always does it, I'm quite absent minded and he wouldn't trust me to do it properly. Have a lie in - on the rare occasion my ILs have the kids overnight they always leave them back very, very early, I view 8am as a pretty decent lie in now.
Have any proper free time. Worked F/T with my first child, went part time after my 2nd but had a 3rd quickly after, DC3 will start nursery in September 2019 but by then DC4 will be a few months old! Wouldn't have it any other way though.

Wear a dress/skirt. Honestly think the last time was at my wedding 15 years ago!
Have a bath. Don't find them relaxing at all, I just get bored. Showers are far better.

PuppyMonkey · 22/09/2018 15:37

Baking.

Flatasapancakenow · 22/09/2018 15:38

Oh yes, care what other people think, worry about keeping up with trends/social media.
Care about cars.

stellabird · 22/09/2018 15:39

Drink alcohol.
Wear makeup.
Have people over for dinner.

Showpony2 · 22/09/2018 15:41

Wash my hair.

missmouse101 · 22/09/2018 15:42

Mowing, gardening, going to a gym, having those little headphones, watching crap like Love Island.

luckycat007 · 22/09/2018 15:42

Eat in restaurants
Visit pubs

CMOTDibbler · 22/09/2018 15:44

Have my hair done. Its long and naturally grey/white. I hate going to the hairdressers and cut the front myself, then once a year go to the no appointments place and get a dry cut.

Go out 'with the girls' - I don't get invited to things like that

GhettoFabulous · 22/09/2018 15:45

Wear trousers, jeans, leggings or pyjamas. I have an issue with my downstairs which means I get severe pain from the seam rubbing me. I also have to wear tights with a proper gusset, not the one with a seam right up the middle.

BikeRunSki · 22/09/2018 15:46

I never drink coke, wear make up, go to the spa, go clubbing, go shopping for leisure, wear heels.

Conversely, I happily ride 100s of miles on my bike and work outside getting muddy. Each to their own.

mackerella · 22/09/2018 15:48

Takeaways (apart from the occasional fish and chips when we're at the seaside)
"Pampering" (eurgh, I hate that word)
Recreational shopping

JeremyCorbynsBeard · 22/09/2018 15:49

Go to the cinema.

Or even watch films at home.
Drink prosecco
Clean the windows
Read magazines

CakeNinja · 22/09/2018 15:49

Watch telly/films or have any idea who celebrities are. People think I feel superior to them but the reality is, I have a very short attention span and I hate the thought of committing myself to watch anything like a box set. Even thinking about it makes me yawn!

Also, mowing the lawn (No idea how to start the petrol mower, it seems to involve an unholy amount of string pulling), putting air in tyres and cooking a roast or a steak although I eat both most weeks.

motortroll · 22/09/2018 15:50

Go on trains. Other than the museum steam train I’ve been on a train once in my life. We just don’t have them here outside of the large cities. Public transport is dire.

MrsDeaconClaybourne · 22/09/2018 15:57

I'm surprised how many of these I also don't do.

I've never ever mowed the lawn, even my older 2 DCs have done it more than me.

Have a bath - makes me bored and restless instead of relaxed.

Any sort of pampering/treatment other than having my hair cut. Prefer to do everything myself.

I hate putting petrol in for some reason although I do it regularly. Don't blame anyone for avoiding that if it's possible.

Go shopping for fun/a day out- only go when I need something which is more often than I'd like. Only exception is IKEA but only on a term time day off.

Planesmistakenforstars · 22/09/2018 16:05

Drive
Go to gigs
Don't often take my phone with me when I go out
Never been to a gym
Haven't ever worn heals
Don't watch anything except sport on tv

LongSummerDays · 22/09/2018 16:49

Sleep. I can lie awake until 3/4am then bam! Awake at 7am as if I were programmed.

Drive. Probably a good thing because of above.

Swim.

CantankerousCamel · 22/09/2018 16:51

Make up
Iron
Shave legs
Mop floors
Go to baby groups

DuchessAnnogovia · 22/09/2018 16:57

Wear high heels
Do the ironing
Go to the hairdresser (DS is a barber and he does my hair)
Wear skirts

wineusuallyhelps · 22/09/2018 17:03

Go swimming/take the kids swimming. Too much faff and I can't see because my prescription goggles just steam up!

(They can swim well though because I paid someone else to teach them Grin.)

Meet0nTheIedge · 22/09/2018 17:28

I don't wear heels but I don't know anyone else that does routinely either, all my colleagues wear flats, as do my friends, even on nights out they are rarely seen.

Wearing skirts is another, I wear dresses when it's really hot in summer but it must be years since I've worn a skirt. Never wear tights either.
