Driving test number 4 tomorrow should I just cancel.

4th attempt tomorrow and just been out for a last run with DH and aqua plained scared the hell out of me! I'm not doubting my ability and just thinking shall I give up! It's costing me a fortune in tests and lessons and I'm stressing over it once again! Worst part is I can drive but on a test you would think Iv never even seen a car never mind drive one!

Anyone got any tips or basically a kick up the back side for me ??

Is aquaplaning a bad driver thing? It's happened to me loads on the road I drive on (nsl duel carriageway can't move over because I'm being overtaken) I'm always in control (as far as I suppose I can be), but I feel it and drive out of it fine. I didn't know that made me a bad driver.

I've just googled aquaplaning, it appears to be far more serious than having to drive through a huge puddle and losing a bit of grip on the left hand side (as happens to me on occasion). I rescind my earlier comment.

I passed 4th time (but was robbed 3rd time)

DH passed 5th time and is the safest driver I know.

My DC had four goes - then passed and has been driving as if doing it since birth!

You'll get through, don't cancel.

The major was for cutting someone up I felt like they were miles away but it's the examiners decision that sticks

That’s a shame, but only one minor is amazing.

Sounds like you disagree on the major - a subjective decision, but their call - but you can clearly drive. So book another test ASAP.

And I passed when I lived in the countryside and my favourite driving environment now is central London, I shit ye not x

That's a shame but 1 minor means you were good and the major was just a silly mistake therefore you absolutely can do it next time!

Similar happened to me and it was like a switch flicked in my head that actually I would have passed without the silly mistake so next time I could do it (4th time pass for me). BTW aqua planing scares the shit out of me and I've been driving 9 years

You are no rush in your test. Take your time, and think about your manoeuvres.

I passed on my seventh attempt, don’t give up. And don’t tell anyone when your test is. Takes the pressure off a lot!

I'm going to take the advise of not telling anyone I have told people so far so let's hope that helps.

One minor is amazing. I've put in for mine again too OP, really hoping it's the last one but I'm already dreading it and it's a month away/.

But make sure you don't tell your husband either if he's arguing with you the night before every test.

Took me 5 times - and now not had an accident in the 20 years since!

Apparently they have a quota of passes in a certain period, so that maybe working against you.
