Who's cooking and what are you cooking?

I'm doing Nana's magic soup off the Tesco advert with a few variations. Will have some for the freezer and some for lunch tomorrow.

Lemon and thyme chicken crown in the oven. Boiled potatoes, carrots and broccoli.

It's been a tough day parenting so hoping everyone tucks in with no moaning!

Love a Sunday afternoon chopping and cooking. What's everyone else having?

I thought we were having veal stew that DH cooked up last night, but he appears to be making something else with mince, aubergine, peppers... I'm curious to see what it turns into!

3boysandabump · 16/09/2018 17:15

I started a chilli in the sc at about 8.30. Just waiting for everybody to come home now so we can tuck in

TheCrowFromBelow · 16/09/2018 17:18

Me.
I’m cooking veggie burgers. I’ve whizzed up the burgers and they are in the fridge, I’m just wondering whether I want gherkins or chillies on mine. Or maybe cheese but I’m not sure about chickpeas and cheese.

DH cooking. Steak, mini roast potatoes, onions, mushrooms, peas and pepper sauce. Can’t wait as I’m starving.

AnnPerkins · 16/09/2018 17:24

SimplyPut would you share your recipe for chicken and chickpea sag? I could so eat that right now!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 16/09/2018 17:25

Really wanted veal in breadcrumbs with a broccoli spaghetti thing but butchers had none Sad

So I made homemade beef ramen instead...bloody delicious though I did over boil the egg so it wasn’t as runny as I’d have liked but you can’t win them all eh!

All sounds very yummy. Autumn is definitely here. That holiday pic is making me very envious! Looks amazing.
Also, useful reminder that Bodyguard is on tonight. That's cheered me up!

Roast chicken, roast potatoes and Chantenay carrots with loads of garlic on them! Smells lovely and hoping it tastes as nice at it smells 😃

TheEverywhereBear · 16/09/2018 17:29

Dh is making us roast pork for dinner with all the trimmings.

I'm going to make us a plum crumble for pudding. Need to go and get on with it actually!

HollySwift · 16/09/2018 17:29

I’m making macaroni cheese, but with penne as we’ve not got macaroni.

Fridge is bare so need to shop tomorrow!

wonkylegs · 16/09/2018 17:29

Roast pork, garlic roast new potatoes, courgettes, carrots, broccoli & peas - everything apart from the pork is from the garden
Apple, plum & elderberry crumble - again all fruit is from the garden.

DuchessofManchester · 16/09/2018 17:31

Dh is doing sweet and sour chicken for us later with prawn crackers and rice. We're off on holiday tomorrow so treating ourselves with chocolate pudding for afters.

Chocolateismyvice · 16/09/2018 17:31

We are having sausages in onion gravy, mash, peas and carrots. Even better is that DP is cooking while me and DS relax on the sofa. To be fair, ds (18m) isn't very well at the moment and I'm newly pregnant so he's insisting we both take it easy Grin

I have put on a veg and barley soup in the slow cooker though and made chocolate chip banana bread, so have been kinda productive!

buckeejit · 16/09/2018 17:31

Chilli con carne to use up some Persian herb rice I made the other day

LondonLassInTheCountry · 16/09/2018 17:32

Im currently thinking about a chicken roast

Camomila · 16/09/2018 17:35

Chicken dippers, chips and peas.

We had curry, rice and sides for lunch so no one fancies doing proper cooking twice.

lucysmam · 16/09/2018 17:37

I cooked.

We've just had pork loin steaks and mash. With sweetcorn, peas, cauli and brocolli, yorkshires and gravy. 'Twas very tasty too - apart from the mash, not my favourite type of potato.

Chocolate concrete for my pudding, and dd2 has baked and decorated some unicorn buns for her and dd1. Mostly her own work too - just a bit of help with the eggs needed :)

TheQueef · 16/09/2018 17:37

I could really eat a chicken mushroom and thyme pie.

fleshmarketclose · 16/09/2018 17:41

I cooked.Beef stew and dumplings and apple crumble for pudding.

ninnypoo · 16/09/2018 17:43

We are having meatballs and tagliatelle for tea with a mini magnum for pudding but reading all these responses makes me wish I was putting more effort in!

SockQueen · 16/09/2018 17:44

DH did bacon and scrambled egg this morning, and is cooking steak for me tonight. My contribution to catering today has been pouring out cereal for DS - I think I'm doing quite well!

BertrandRussell · 16/09/2018 17:47

Dp and me. Pizza-it's always. A joint effort.

BillThePony · 16/09/2018 17:49

I am home alone today so heating up a chilli that I made the other day.

delphguelph · 16/09/2018 17:50

Currently do stuffed peppers and garlic roasted cauliflower.

Had a glut of peppers so using them up. Stuffed with pork, chick peas, leeks and guess what, more pepper! They'll be good for lunches this week.

Thesearmsofmine · 16/09/2018 17:51

Toad in the hole with onion gravy!
