Huawei phones - why do we keep being offered them on contract!

So twice now I've gone to upgrade and each time we've had the push to this brand. Are they new and giving incentives to retailers?

How do you pronounce Huawei

I always pronounce it with a Geordie accent. Fairly sure that's wrong though.
