JL/Waitrose Bohemian Rhapsody Xmas ad that wasn't... Love it or loathe it?

Anyone else clock this? It was shown in the 1st ad break in GBBO. You can find it on YouTube if you look. I thought it was funny, interesting, innovative and clever. I felt it was a non-Christmas if that makes sense, ie it could have been one but they deliberately didn't make it Christmassy. I also loved the passion behind it, having attended quite a few school concerts in my time, but none like this one. From a creative / ad pov, I thought it was very clever too. Did you love it or loathe it?

Hated it.

DD2's Reception school show had a chorus line of dancing cows complete with rubber glove udders... can't really top that.

It's one of those ads which is fine the first time you see it, but by the eleventy-millionth airing you are dead sick of it and it just drags.

But I am not a fan of silly cutesy cutesy child remakes of adult stuff anyway, so the novelty has worn off already (watched it once).

I didn't read too much into it, as department store/supermarket adverts go, I thought it was quite good. It's very long though, DH got bored and stopped watching half way through.

As soon as it started I thought "Surely they can't sing the 'Mama, just killed a man ' bit.......They didn't of course!

Honestly I was a worse diva than the kids. Even getting the performing kids doing that advert wouldn't have been plain sailing. People saying that all school productions are shit. Well you have a go!

I loved it, watched entranced to end to see who it was from and even giggled when the Martian wasn't dead, I even told my DH who has to exit room when GBBO on , he said I usually talk about the show not the adds.

didn't like it, boring .Don't get the appeal.but I am clearly in the minority
