Saw Wicked yesterday for the first time. It was so incredible. Am desperate to see it again! Cant get the songs out of my head although the plot was nuts.

Hamilton by a mile. Blew me away and would love to see it again

Heathers the music is good fun

SeaViewBliss · 03/09/2018 20:57

I’ll always love Phantom because it was the first one I saw when I was 15.

My favourite is Kinky Boots.

StoorieHoose · 03/09/2018 20:57

heathers the musical*

DaisyDreaming · 03/09/2018 21:02

I saw hairspray on the west end and loved it, saw the pro tour and it was awful, beyond awful! It’s the kind of thing you would think was a very well done school play. Love wicked and Book of Mormon. Love the lyrics and parts of Matilda but wish the over the top parts (like her parents) would be toned down, it ruins it for me

Stephisaur · 03/09/2018 21:04

Phantom

MarthasGinYard · 03/09/2018 21:05

Also love Les Mis

But phantom my go to

Muddlingalongalone · 03/09/2018 21:06

I'll always love Starlight Express because it was the first show I saw in the West End.
Cried at Miss Saigon & Phantom. Mary Poppins was fab & my unexpected hit was Priscilla, Queen of the desert.
Off to see Hamilton next month - can't wait!

Essexgirlupnorth · 03/09/2018 21:08

Les Mis booked to see it for the sixth time.

Going to see Hamilton in a couple of weeks and taking my daughter to see Matilda tour for her birthday will be her first stage musical.

Wicked is great the book it is based on is even weirder than the musical

SingingSands · 03/09/2018 21:10

Phantom and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I was only 15 when I saw Phantom and I fell in love with it.

Chitty was great on stage. I only went because my friend's son had a role, but it was hugely entertains and enjoyable.

LosingLola · 03/09/2018 21:12

Memphis, closely followed by A Chorus Line and Legally Blonde

sorryihaventacluetoo · 03/09/2018 21:14

Sweeney Todd or Hamilton. It was tough to choose a fav Sondheim though.

WhenDoISleep · 03/09/2018 21:20

I adore Phantom / Les Mis / Miss Siagon - so they are my joint top choices.

Also love Billy Elliot (the closing night in London with all 4 Billy's tag teamig the role was amazing) and since having DC I find it quite emotional. Avenue Q is also great and I adored Rent, but it has aged a little.

I love musical theatre and incredible lucky to have seen a lot of shows over the last 20 years, including many of the top performers as well - I saw Idina Menzel in Wicked and Lea Salonga and Johnathon Pryce at the 25th anniversary performance of Miss Siagon.

MilesHuntsWig · 03/09/2018 21:23

Sandstormbrewing · 03/09/2018 21:43

Joseph I think, but it was the first I ever saw (with Jason Donavan who I loved at the time). Close second is phantom then 3rd probably bat out of hell. Not seen any I didn't like though! Possibly guys and dolls was my worst favourite.

shakeatailfeather · 03/09/2018 22:26

Legally blonde is fantastic. Also loved Hairspray, We Will Rock You and American Idiot.

Saw Joseph with Joe McElderry and totally adored every minute.

Would love to see Hamilton and Bat Out of Hell

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 03/09/2018 22:27

Hamilton... nothing else is close.

NT53NJT · 03/09/2018 22:28

We're going to blood brothers in 3 weeks and Les miserables in February. Amazing shows

Loonoon · 03/09/2018 22:34

I’m not much of a fan of musicals although I’ve seen quite a few as DH and DC like them. I particularly disliked Wicked. I make an exception for Bat Out of Hell, the Musical. I’ve seen it three times and am going again on Wednesday.

Floralnomad · 03/09/2018 22:34

I love Legally Blonde , Wicked left me cold , I’d have happily left at the interval but I had taken dd and she seemed to be enjoying it .
