Did anyone just see it?
Was that real?
Did the show expect it to be jokey and misjudged it?

Either she is unwell or in pain or she's putting on a good act.

I don't know how I feel about what I watched if I'm honest.

that bloody Nicola Mclean is loving it on Twitter, probably jealous as she dosent seem to get much work now

flopsyrabbit1 · 29/08/2018 17:13

Kim reminds me of someone with Bipolar disorder

i actually feel for her and this is bad taste to let a woman that is probably ill thrown to the lions,ITV/coleen etc knew what would happen

WiltedDaffs · 29/08/2018 17:25

ITV have blocked the video linked on this thread for copyright reasons but they've put the whole thing on the Youtube Loose Women channel with an advert beforehand. Clearly bullying a woman until she cries on live TV isn't enough, they want to make money out of it too.

She was clearly primed to attack before being attacked. I'm going to be generous and say that JSP didn't know how to diffuse the situation.

GinandGingerBeer · 29/08/2018 17:29

From what I can gather it was to make up after the feud on celebrities B.B.
When Kim started saying she'd had a bad childhood, Colleen whispered yeah we've heard that before, she'll start to cry next......
Kim ended up calling her vile trash.
That's only via unpicking from sm so don't quote me!

stubble · 29/08/2018 17:30

I saw it, has Kim got physical problems as well? Her face seemed uneven.Sad

What was the feud?

TacoFriday · 29/08/2018 17:34

“Can they really know what they’re consenting to as most of them appear to be either mentally unwell or have low intelligence levels?”

So you’re saying a 76 year old woman who chose to appear on television for money is mentally unwell or has a low level of intelligence and you’re suggesting she should not be allowed to work where and when she chooses based on nothing other than your fucking opinion?!

Am I reading this horseshit right?

Cabochard · 29/08/2018 17:34

Kim is 76 and though not elderly - they should have been mindful of that!

MyCatIsBonkers · 29/08/2018 17:38

ITV got exactly what they paid for. Kim clearly has issues so why set her up to exploit them for entertainment. Shameful.

MalloryLaurel · 29/08/2018 17:40

I thought Colleen looked super smug and pleased when Kim got upset. I saw it in a microsecond expression on her face. I feel sore for Kim, she was obviously upset and the whole panel completely ganged up on her. It was always going to be like that, good for ratings. Shame Kim couldn't play them at their own game.

ChocolateDoll · 29/08/2018 17:42

Considering it’s their show and they’re all experienced TV personalities, those 4 Loose Women made an absolute hash of that.

They have made themselves look like a mob of nasty bullies.

It’s as though everything we’ve previously seen involving support for mental health charities and anti-bullying discussions has been fake.

And it took Kim Woodburn to push the right buttons and allow those women to show themselves up for who they really are.

EwItsAHooman · 29/08/2018 17:44

The comment about people who areentally unwell and/or having low intelligence was in reference to people who sign up to go on the Jeremy Kyle show, if you read the post properly.

I agree with that. I used to regularly stay in one of the hotels that ITV uses for guests and the JK guests were treated appallingly. The show set up a bar tab for them and they were all encouraged to drink their fill, they would be given rooms at opposite ends of the hotel to encourage them to congregate in one room or go roaming the corridors looking for one another, we overheard staff presumably there to babysit them stirring things by suggesting they go talk to so and so when it was clear that it wasn't a good idea to do so, then they'd tell them they would be getting picked up for filming at a certain time but what they'd actually do was arrive two hours earlier than that and knock them all out of bed - tired, hungover, fractious, and stressed.

EwItsAHooman · 29/08/2018 17:46

the same way the socially dispossessed are booked onto JK then bear baited for entertainment. Can they really know what they’re consenting to as most of them appear to be either mentally unwell or have low intelligence levels?

The post in question.

EwItsAHooman · 29/08/2018 17:47

And, in my opinion, no. JK guests don't always fully know what they're signing up to. Quite a lot of them would get chatty in the hotel bar (and encourage us to put drinks on their tab) and openly admitted that they signed up for the hotel stay and the drinks because it's an "away day".

knittedwoollenmouse · 29/08/2018 17:49

Of course she has capacity to consent to going on these shows, but she’s obviously very easy to wind up by those who are more socially adept. They pull their tricks on her and she reacts. The producers exploit this and they should act with more integrity towards someone who is clearly struggling.

knittedwoollenmouse · 29/08/2018 17:53

For what it’s worth, I think she may be on the spectrum. The way she reacts is very familiar.

MalloryLaurel · 29/08/2018 17:56

Thank you Just, I've complained.

Cheeseplantandpickle · 29/08/2018 17:57

Colleen is the worst.

madja · 29/08/2018 18:06

God, I'm no fan of Kim, but that was awful to watch. They should be ashamed of themselves.
If Colleen really wanted to sort things out, she would have done so privately, and not on national TV.
I also caught the part where she took the piss whilst Kim talked about her childhood, and snidely said we all know about that, she'll cry in a minute Shock What an out and out bitch.
To be fair, Colleen has always come across as two faced and phoney to me. Smile to your face, and stab you in the back.

beachcomber243 · 29/08/2018 18:07

Kim was facing a 'gang'/'clique' situation so she was outnumbered for sure. Coleen had a family member to back her up so that was unfair too.

I thought it unfair of Kim to target Linda as she did and brush her off when she was trying to comfort her. I also though Coleen's sister was childish and cruel to Kim.

It was all very undignified. Kim has real problem/s and it was not appropriate to appear on the show.

flopsyrabbit1 · 29/08/2018 18:08

should of put KP on with them, they missed a trick there

MissLingoss · 29/08/2018 18:09

Doesn't she have an agent or PR person? It would be their job to warn her off doing something that might have a negative impact on her reputation. If she does have professional representation, seems they might not have advised her well on this occasion. Or she ignored the advice.

knittedwoollenmouse · 29/08/2018 18:11

An agent only earns money if their client is earning money.

millmoo · 29/08/2018 18:13

I’ve just complained to ofcom -it was absolutely horrendous to watch

retainertrainer · 29/08/2018 18:14

It was incredibly uncomfortable viewing,I turned off after a few minutes but itv have the whole segment on YouTube. Kim was very distressed at the end. They had a segment on self harm just before she came on,you’d think they’d be more clues up on mental health awareness, the producers should be ashamed of themselves.
