I am 40 and have recently noticed I take a lot longer to heal. Just small cuts etc are more likely to take ages and to scar. Moan

I'm 39 and trying to ward it off with a brutal exercise regime...

Apologies, triplicate post on app, said it had failed.

Oh the sag! I’m not overweight but my tummy and breasts droop! I hate it!

My eyesight’s very dodgy and glasses don’t help enough. And I’ve lost muscle tone in my back, so it aches.

BigbreastsBiggerbeard · 28/08/2018 12:15

Just ordered some glucosamine for me joints! When, in my life, did I EVER give a thought to my joints??

catdrugs · 28/08/2018 12:16

It's so depressing Sad

evilharpy · 28/08/2018 12:19

I'm 38.

My joints crack loudly when I get up from sitting down.
My hair is horribly grey (or at least my roots are when they need attention).
My nails have always been weak but are now worse than ever before, and my hair is thinner.
I have to work a lot harder at not looking frumpy.
I'm just generally more tired all the time than I used to be, but seem to need less sleep. I'll probably have to work till I drop but even with a desk job I can't see myself having the energy or brain power to keep working in my late 60s.

GladysKnight · 28/08/2018 12:22

Really long eyebrow hairs!! And trouble pooing (thanks, kids).

I did get the aches and pains in my 40s/early 50s but unexpectedly, that really eased off after the menopause. And I realised I had been hating the heat for a lot longer than just the peri-hot-flush year or two - and now I love it again!

But oh dear, I do miss having a waist .

Deathraystare · 28/08/2018 12:23

Nothing really surprised me but it sure depressed me as in my mind I am still a teenager! Everything that comes with age, I have. Though yes, one bonus, that someone else mentioned is not much leg hair.

I have all the rest though. Poor eyesight (even with glasses), saggy mum belly (never been a mum) droopy breasts, facial hair (and nasal, damn it), high BP, diabetes stage 2, high cholesterol etc etc etc

murphys · 28/08/2018 12:25

I think the muscle in my arm should be better more firm, what with all the stretching it out trying to read a label, then pulling it in to try and read the label.... and now I have batwings! What is that all about. Not even one arm is more taut than the other.

Seeing is a general problem, but especially so first thing in the morning.

And why will my hair not do a thing, speaking of mornings. I used to be able to wake up, brush it and away we go. No no, now we need straighters, serums and all sorts of faffing.

And I cannot wear a bloody pair of shoes without getting a callous after a few weeks. My feet must have changed as I have never had a callous before now.

I am 48. The one benefit is that what old clothes I did hang on to, are back in fashion again. hehe.

ballseditupagain · 28/08/2018 12:36

My husband and I bought a bigger tv as we couldn't see it very well. My friend sensibly enquirered why we didn't go to the opticians.....

onemouseplace · 28/08/2018 12:42

Liver spots on my hands! I've managed to injure the tendon on the back of one of my hands as well, so it's all swollen and I swear I look at the back of my hands now and they look like those of my arthritic MIL who is nearly 80 - I'm only 40!

That, plus I find it very easy to gain and very hard to lose weight now.

IncrediblySturdyPyjamas · 28/08/2018 12:52

My feet got bigger as soon as I hit my 50s.

Like one day nothing fit.

Just like that.

ArkAtEee · 28/08/2018 13:28

Random Dennis Healey-style hairs in my eyebrows.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 28/08/2018 13:33

My leg hair has disappeared and hair" down there" is going south".. That was a shock!
Since I've turned 50 I've put on a stone.. All on my stomach, always had a pot belly since an EMCS and two VBACS

ProseccoThyme · 28/08/2018 13:38

Rotator cuff injury. Common in middle-aged females apparently Shock

Found a really long white hair growing randomly out my neck.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 28/08/2018 13:44

Slimmer legs, bigger gut
back fat
more confident & chill

Dontbescaredlittlebear · 28/08/2018 13:47

Skin tags on my neck and chest have started to sprout like weeds

Passthecake30 · 28/08/2018 13:53

Veins on my legs that are threatening to become varicose

White pubes, eyebrow hair, sparse leg hair

Saggy chin (I've never been fat so it must just be skin)

Smaller boobs, smaller hips, bigger stomach

Bad memory and awful balance

Hoozz · 28/08/2018 14:02

Well I'm a bit more than middle aged. Aches and pains and some proper old person health problems.
Some good stuff though. My hair hasn't looked this good since I was 19. I no longer have to colour it because it has about 25% grey which blends nicely with the rest to look blonde rather than the dirty mouse of my 30s and 40s.
My weight, contrary to popular menopausal myths, has dropped. I was never overweight but I'm a stone lighter than I was at 35 and I have never ever dieted or watched what I eat.

Though I'd trade those things for perfect health.

BigbreastsBiggerbeard · 28/08/2018 14:06

Boobs are now like saggy sacks. The skin has gone totally crepey and it seems to have been only over the last 18 months. Horrible. No interest in having a relationship as no interest in sexual shenanigans. I'd rather watch Netflix.

Sgtmajormummy · 28/08/2018 14:17

Rosacea, started 3 months after my 50th birthday, dammit. Apart from the end of my nose my face is fine, but you know what they say, “It’s as plain as the nose on your face.”!
So I’m using copious quantities of sun block, moisturizer and concealer in the hope it won’t spread. At least with acne there’s the comfort you might grow out of it...Sad
On a different note, I’ve noticed my fingers getting gnarly the same way as DF’s when I’ve only ever looked like DM.

QueenofLouisiana · 28/08/2018 14:23

Eyes take longer to refocus.
Creaky feet.
A worrying interest in exactly how thin Tena Lady Discreet actually are.

fussychica · 28/08/2018 14:24

Early 60s, thankfully in good health.
Still have great pert boobs and body pretty good but the face has definitely gone south. Jowl central here!
The odd white eyebrow hair.
Easy to gain weight and very tough to get it off.
Involuntary farts if I cough hardShock, most embarrassing.
Creaking knees, plenty of exercise and sunshine keeps it at bay so off to the Med next weekSmile
