I havnt used e bay for years, couldn't be arsed with the faff to be honest. But last week I put loads of the kids clothes on that I usually would just give to charity, loads of old and inexpensive jewelry that I never wear and some cornishware which has seen better days. I hoped to get £100 so i could buy a new Hoover. I got a hoover and some formal workwear for a new temping job I'm starting next week. Mostly Next so nothing designer but omg I can't wait to wear them. I've spent hardly anything(well in fact only the money I have made). I'm a complete convert.

Whats your biggest e bay bargain and or tip? I hope I can get a faberge egg soon for 99p and sort my credit cards out 🤣

If you phone eBay they will increase your selling limit. Normally to about 50 - 100 Free listings a month if you're not a business.

Wow, I didn't know that!

I sell everything on Buy It Now, so I just list everything and then let it all sit there for however long it takes. August is typically a quiet month on Ebay, so I've sold nothing for ages, but I just sold something today - a rainy bank holiday weekend really makes a difference! Usually between September - December I tend to sell a couple of items per month.

Until a couple of years ago I wasn't bothering with Ebay and was giving a lot more stuff to charity shops. But then I realised how financially wasteful I was being. Now I only give stuff to charity if it's too cheap to bother selling.

I do the same - fixed price only. I dip in and out of eBay. There are some things that are too random for the charity shop (buggy parts/spares) which nearly always sell on eBay. I’m currently trying to reduce my collection of buggy parts/accessories so have been listing things over the last few weeks.
The Playmobil collection is next to be sorted and listed - which is really just an excuse to spend the afternoon playing with Playmobil Blush

I have a few items I would like to try on eBay. Does anyone have time to answer some basic questions ?

  1. How do I figure out postage costs ?
  2. Do I have to have signed for postage, to be covered by eBay protection.
  3. Is it better to do BIN or auction starting at 99p, to get best cost?

I've just had a message from the gentleman that I sold my red stilettos to. He says 'thank you very much, my wife is very happy with them and they fit perfectly'. Is this code for, 'have you got any more?'GrinGrin

I sold a broken - wouldn't turn on at all - ipod the other week for over £80. Its madness. I put everything up on ebay at least once or twice to see if it'll sell before sending to charity if it doesn't.
