Do you think you look good naked?

Sorry if this is a creepy question but ive had some gin and curious about how people generally feel.

I think i look good naked, but i will sometimes have a bit of a freak out where i worry that im not actually and im just over-confident....

If you stand naked in front of a mirror are you happy/satisfied with what you see?

Yes. There are bits I don’t like but overall I think I look pretty good, in fact not much different to how I did in my teens. My tummy is more rounded and my breasts a little saggier but overall same size and weight. I haven’t hit menopause yet though, so trust me I’m not letting myself get too smug!

For those unhappy with their bodies
Remember we are just souls in a meatsuit rocketing through time and space 👍

Kool4katz · 25/08/2018 09:33

Nope, short and fat but I don't really care. I place more value in trying to be a good person and kind to my friends than what I look like clothed or naked.

BitchQueen90 · 25/08/2018 09:36

Don't think I look great but not repulsive either. Bit of cellulite, stretch marks, saggy boobs but I'm still a nice size 10.

esk1mo · 25/08/2018 09:36

yes. which is crazy for me as during my teens i had eating disorders and wanted to be 7 stone/size 0 at 5’5. now im 10 stone and feel amazing, mostly due to weightlifting/not drinking Smile

AfterSchoolWorry · 25/08/2018 09:39

Nope. I'm about 3 stone overweight.

SequinsOnEverything · 25/08/2018 09:40

Absolutely not! But then, I also don't think I look good dressed.

ScreamingValenta · 25/08/2018 09:40

Nope!

Bettysnoop · 25/08/2018 09:41

Yes. Always been aware. of how I look/feel about myself & I make sure I eat relatively healthy & take good care of myself. Good genes in my family, often feel lucky that I'm naturally petite with fast metabolism.

But that being said, I've always been a big believer that confidence comes from the inside & looks are not everything.

Postino · 25/08/2018 09:43

Glad you're content now esk1mo. I agree about weightlifting - it strengthens my self-esteem as much as my body

SleightOfMind · 25/08/2018 09:50

Yes. Stomach lacks definition after 4DCs but everything else looks fine.
Wore a bikini the other day on a boat with loads of other people, snorkelled etc and no one fainted or threw up. Grin

Much happier now I’m in my mid forties than my self conscious twenties when my figure was pretty much perfect.

happinessischocolate · 25/08/2018 09:57

Yeah I'm okay for a 50 year old, DP thinks my body is fab and says I've a better body than many people 20 year younger. I'm more concerned with my body's health than how it looks, and I need to do more yoga to maintain my suppleness as I think the next 10 years are when it all goes to pot and you suddenly find you can't bend over anymore without putting your back out or falling over 😂

NameChanger22 · 25/08/2018 09:59

I have very good skin but I'm a bit chubby with a bit of a belly. I think I look better than average for my age.

ZigZagZebras · 25/08/2018 10:00

No, I'm slim and tall but have no shape, my hip bones stick out too much since having DC3 and I just look shapeless!

GreyGardens88 · 25/08/2018 10:02

I think I look disgusting, really bad, I would need about 6 months serious exercise to even have the confidence to go on beach. But my DP seems to like my body Confused

Mabelface · 25/08/2018 10:08

I'm 48. I have stretch marks, c- section overhang and a layer of padding. My body is fucking awesome and has done amazing things. I suppose it could be described as rubenesque. I love it.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/08/2018 10:09

Not particularly but Who's arsed. It's not like I'm going to go waltzing around Asda in my "nak", is it.

helpawomanout · 25/08/2018 10:29

Nope. A size 10, 34DD breasts, lovely hourglass however once clothes are removed I'm a wobbly mess of stretch marks and flab.

It's why I won't entertain the idea of another boyfriend, my body looks great clothed, I'd feel like a fraud if he saw me naked.

formerbabe · 25/08/2018 10:36

Not especially but I have a nice face and am fairly confident.

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 25/08/2018 10:53

Yep. I sometimes wonder if I have the opposite of body dysmorphia (would that be morphia?) because I always think I look great naked. At my height I would need to lose 4 stone to look like a filmstar and 2 to be exactly where I should from a health point of view, but my boobs are great, everything still points up (in my 40s) and my skin is lovely.

AmIUnderstandingThisCorrectly · 25/08/2018 10:59

No, I look bloody awful. Dressed too. But I'd like to think my value is not entirely based on my appearance.

theboxofdelights · 25/08/2018 11:00

No, definitely not. I bought a wall mounted tall boy for the bathroom last week, the top ⅔ has a mirror door ..... I was shocked 😮 at my naked body to be honest. Never mind, I look fine clothes on.

userabcname · 25/08/2018 11:09

Good lord no. Stretchmarks everywhere, flabby mum tum, big droopy boobs...I look like a freak show. However, most of that is from having my beautiful little DS and I wouldn't change it for the world! I could probably try a bit harder to shift the flab though.

LarkDescending · 25/08/2018 11:12

No (at just-turned-50).

A year ago, fit, strong and tanned from a long summer of tennis, I’d have said I looked OK, but 2x major abdo surgery since then has resulted in awful scarring which makes me look as though I’ve lost an argument (or two) with a combine harvester. I can’t even bring myself to change in a public changing room any more.

Summerisdone · 25/08/2018 11:25

Nope, never have. Even when I look back at other times in my life (21) and realised that I actually had a figure I think is perfect, at the time I didn't feel that way and could always find something I was unhappy about.
Now though, whilst I don't necessarily like myself naked, I have gained more self confidence in the realisation that whilst I don't much like my body, it's not the worse it could be and if I shaped myself a bit I could relatively quickly change the look of it, though I'd probably find other parts I'm not happy with then 🤷🏻‍♀️
