Where would you go if you needed a break away alone?

DH goes abroad every year for 4 days with friends. I have decided that I'd like to do the same but my friends are either skint or tied up with very young children. Should I forget the idea or find somewhere I could go alone? What would you do and where would you go?

I literally have no family to visit or go away with so it really would be a solo trip. Any suggestions appreciated!

Unless the Op did it with a cruise line that has single cabins and these are very few and far between she'd be paying per cabin and not per person. She'd get nothing for her 750.

Im not sure I'd want to be in Dubai on a 750 pound holiday either.

Personally I'd go somewhere I really wanted to see or do an activity. Otherwise it's all too try hard and a bit lonely.
