Stansted airport parking - I am an idiot

For the first time ever I haven’t noted down or photographed where the car is in Stansted mid stay and I have no memory of it. Our flight gets in late and I’m faced with trawling kids round most of the car park before a 3 hour drive (then I have to get up at crack of dawn for an early hospital appt). I know we weren’t in the early letters, but I can’t even find what letter the car park goes up to online.

I am such a fool. There’s nothing I can do here beyond trawl each letter once I arrive, is there? No clue where to get off the bus for the airport or anything 😩

Did you Waze at all? That remembers where i parked at the end of a journey.

Iphones and Google both independently track the location of their users. If any of you have an iPhone then find it in Settings - location services - system services - significant locations. I don’t know how to do the Google request but think it’s relatively simple.

get off the bus at the office and ask.
they know which section cars arrived on which day.

Are you using Apple Maps or Google Maps? In Apple Maps, if you search for “parked car”, it should store the location

From google maps, that looks like the mid-stay car park. Did you go to the mid-stay or the long-stay? The P might be where you parked, or it might just be a P on the map that designates that it is a parking area. Try looking at other car parks and see if they are all marked with the same P.

Do you have Google maps? If so open it up, tap the 3-line menu button at the top left of the page. Then hit Your Timeline. Use the calendar thing top right to select the date you parked and it should give your location....

If you connect your phone to your car your iPhone maps will have marked your last parked location on your phone just open the maps app and hit parked car

The power of MN I was going to say to not overthink it when you’re back. I did it once, and couldn’t remember what letter we were, but sat back on the bus the familiarity came back and we managed to get off in the right section!

Did you get a transfer bus to the terminal? Can you roughly remember how long you were on their for?

The P isn’t where you parked unfortunately

It's the first thing I see when I open Apple maps, I've obvs zoomed out the map as to not give away my location lol

Click on parked car and it will zoom in on your car and give exact location

Think you need to be synced with the car first

bbc, just make sure OP is in the midstay before you go searching there. I've never been in the midstay but it looks relatively small on the map. The long stay does have lots of alphabet zones which fits with the original post.

Mid stay has letter zones too. And unfortunately it is huge.

So the car thing seems to only work if the car bluetooth talks to the phone.

I used to work on the airport buses Stansted. Few years ago when the bendi-buses were know as Pink Elephant
Both in the mid and long stays, always peeps forgetting where parked. But with records kept in car park customer services office, soon sorted.

However, lots of confusion in the mid stay with the bus stop numbering system. We would announce the bus stop number and the associated zone, but some peeps just couldn't understand it? Example bus stop 19 zone 1. Always someone at the end saying "you didn't announce G or H etc. Then the process of telling them "that is the row you parked in" "The number of the bus stop you boarded at for that zone was announced"
More easy in Long stay with red and blue zones. Just stop at every bus stop within that zone. Don't know how things are now with Stansted parking? Must be 10 years since left?
