I am feeling nostalgic. So vintage toys I loved

Sindy -especially ice skating Sindy as she had a tragic back story

Piippa- mad about the shoes

Merlin- cutting edge electronic game which still works

Escape from Coldiz - brilliant board game

Gosh, I do love vintage toys. I was a bit of an odd child, I wrote my first murder mystery aged 5 and liked to watch crimewatch at about 7. So here goes.

Mr Men floor puzzle m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-50-piece-Mr-Men-Jigsaw-Puzzle-by-Hope-The-Boat-Trip-/223100168987

A real typewriter. My parents embraced the oddness and got an adult one.

Then my bikes, swing, pogo stick mainly.

When I was a bit older, a get set candke making kit. We had candles coming out of our ears.

Also a board game called mandarin.

DD has inherited the fisherprice school, playground and the people. She uses it as a lift...

Ooo and Hamma beads. My grandma still uses the coasters I made her 25 years on.

You're all so young and making me feel so old! The toys you're talking about are ones I bought Father Christmas brought for my oldest children who are in their 30s and 40s.
Vintage would be what I played with as a child but I'm so old I can't remember what that was! Grin

I was telling dd2 about the little dolls I used to collect. They were about 2" tall and either came with clothes or naked in a bath. They had jointed limbs and were perfect tiny dolls. I collected 52 before they stopped selling them. I was aiming for 60 Sad
I had a notebook with all their names in, dates of birth and addresses.

I wish I could still get them.

Play mobile! Had the fairground which was brilliant as all the rides spun rounds.

Playing with the toys at my Grandma's house, so from when my mum and her siblings were young, I LOVED the 'Slinky' (basically a spring that you could spring on each step from upstairs to down).

I also spent hours playing 'Owzat', a game where you could simulate a cricket match by rolling two octagonal die.

From my own youth I particularly enjoyed the Lego Castle sets. Alas, now I want to use it again with my own children and my parents have dispersed it!

I had a little record player and had some bright coloured records. I think one was pinky and perky
I remember having a projector and would put on shows for my mum and dad
I had dolls that spoke when you pulled the string

I have kept quite a few of my old toys including the Palitoy Tree House, Yellow teapot, FP record player and my Sindy House which I have now passed to DD ( who doesn't look after it as well as I didHmm
