If you could go back and tell the teenage you some life lessons you have now learned the hard way what would you say?
I wish I could go and shake the teenage me and say "that older boy is abusing you, please run a mile"

Oh and I would also tell pre teen and teen me to stand up to that bully, she's not worth, taking so much time off school, missing so much work and wanting to end your life over. She does it because of her own insecurities and her life will turn out pretty shit in the end.

Timeisslippingaway · 12/08/2018 01:16

Don't be embarrassed of your Mum and dad and don't resent spending time with them, ditto grandparents, they won't always be around

I'm making up for this now, I never leave them alone 😂

Don’t worry so much. Don’t smoke. He doesn’t truly love you so let it go and go to uni. Be kind to yourself. You are worth more.

ChocAuVin · 12/08/2018 01:41

-You don’t need him and you don’t deserve to be abused
-You are gluten intolerant, not naturally lazy and constantly tired!

  • Learn the joy of minimalism sooner and save more
-You never wanted to be a mother but your kids are coming to teach you what real love is -You are beautiful -Your best friend now will be your best friend at 40 -Warn everyone about disasters like Brexit, climate change and Donald Trump -Buy shares in that odd company called Apple Macintosh Wink
DeliveredByKiki · 12/08/2018 02:01

Don’t self harm or if you can’t not do that, don’t pick at the scabs - it will make the scarring worse in a way you will hate when you’re old.

You don’t want to die, ask for help.

Don’t take drugs, especially ketamine.

WhyDelilah18 · 12/08/2018 02:05

I’d basically give my teenage self the key messages from He’s Not That Into You. If he’s into you, you’ll know

HerRoyalNotness · 12/08/2018 02:48

You are not fat.
You can leave home and go to uni if you want to. Your mother is not the boss of you for your entire life. She is in fact a narcissistic bitch and you should get as far from her as possible as fast as you can.
Girls’ CAN do anything.

LemonysSnicket · 12/08/2018 02:50

Stop being so afraid of everything. Your boyfriend is an asshole. Don't be so dramatic. Be kinder to people.

tenredthings · 12/08/2018 08:41

If I could go back in time I'd tell my younger self to buy a house by any means possible because the equity difference between then and now makes me kick myself for a lost chance to make crazy sums of money.

candlefloozy · 12/08/2018 08:58

Get your eyebrows tinted

26mcjrfm · 13/08/2018 12:53

Same as me OP.

That older guy is an abuser. I was with him for 4 years and he treated me like shit, cheating on me, making me lie to family and friends about our relationship. I finally got out at 19, but I had such little value of myself. I made very questionable relationship decisions thereafter, and didn't think I was worth much at all.

loveisland · 13/08/2018 16:43

@26mcjrfm you have no idea what that reply means to me, that's basically me from 13-18 with a man 12 years my senior Thanks did you seek support after?

OP posts:
Walkacrossthesand · 14/08/2018 22:56

No matter how much you think you love him, don't marry the guy who has already lost sexual interest in you. It won't end well.

Riotgrrrrrl · 14/08/2018 22:58

Go to university but do a course you'll enjoy that is less specific rather than something you think will impress people and stop pretending to be something you aren't.
Who you are is awesome. Embrace it.

God I wish I could go back Sad

Rebecca36 · 15/08/2018 01:58

I'd tell my fifteen year old self that I have many years ahead of me and don't need to rush into things. Whether or not I would listen is another matter.

ferrier · 15/08/2018 02:09

Yes- live a bit more. Flaunt yourself a bit more! Don't be so easily dissuaded. Think outside the box a bit. Take your time.

26mcjrfm · 16/08/2018 14:02

Loveisland
I'm so sorry I'm just seeing your reply. I did not seek support as my family were very disapproving and I was "in love" so didn't listen to them. He drove such a wedge between my parents and I as I lied so much. I'm 27 now and in a loving relationship, however he finds it difficult to fathom how little respect I had for myself in the years following the relationship.

I hope you have healed Flowers xx

loveisland · 16/08/2018 15:51

@26mcjrfm exactly the same as you exactly what my partner says Thanks

OP posts:
ReevaDiva · 16/08/2018 15:53

He loves you, but neither of you are ready. Don't waste time wishing it were different, you'll come back today each other later.

Oh, and don't take the stupid college course they said was right for you. You wasted a year; get your head on straight and go to uni while you're at the perfect age to enjoy it.

Gileswithachainsaw · 16/08/2018 15:55

You can do it

You are good enough

One day you will realise that there's nothing wrong with you . You aren't weird. Not being a sheep is a good thing.

Don't trust anyone
Just concentrate on your studies . Aim higher.

  1. Go to uni
  2. Don't get piercings in your face
  3. Don't get a tattoo just because it's cool
  4. Look after your body- you think you're fat now but you will be in 10 years if you don't do something now 😂
girlwithadragontattoo · 17/08/2018 15:59

Save! Even if it's just £100 per month
You don't need a credit card
Slow down when driving
Your not actually fat
Make a few travel plans, you can go by yourself!!

FanSpamTastic · 17/08/2018 16:35

Travel more, see the world.

Don't settle down so early.

Don't worry so much about money and do something you actually enjoy rather than something you think will pay well.

Work on losing the weight as soon as you get to 1 stone overweight! Don't leave it until you pile another 4 stone on!
