What do you think of these? God awful or OK? I think they look kind of vintage-y but maybe I'm fooling myself... (Please excuse pasty feet)

Honest opinions on these sandals please!

I think it depends how you dress as to how Nana they would look.

Teddy1970 · 01/05/2018 14:47

Sorry OP they are frumpy, my MIL would wear those!

ThereAreTooMany · 01/05/2018 14:50

OP, I feel your pain..... I know those shoes will be SOoooo comfy but unfortuanately they are frumpy.

What about these ones... they are a teeny bit better I think.

Disclaimer..I have a pair of hotter Sandles that I don’t think of frumpy. They are silver and Birkenstock’ish and ridiculously comfortable

Honest opinions on these sandals please!

My (very very unstylish) mother would adore them. Actually no, I think even she might hate them.

😂😂😂😂

BusterGonad · 01/05/2018 14:54

They are a bit grumpy but sorry so are Saltwaters!

BusterGonad · 01/05/2018 14:55

Frumpy ffs

Bluntness100 · 01/05/2018 14:56

They are the sort of sandals you see elderly ladies wear with American tan tights and bunion plasters.

It's a no from me,sorry.

Sparkletastic · 01/05/2018 14:58

I'm 46 and need comfort too but I'm not ready to slide in Hotter defeatism yet. Clarks outlet have some great bargains on sandals at the mo.

Bluntness100 · 01/05/2018 14:58

My saltwaters are not remotely frumpy I don't think- 🤣

Honest opinions on these sandals please!
potterycat · 01/05/2018 14:58

Therearetoomany thank you for understanding Grin

I did consider that style but as well as having knackered knees I also have high insteps so I think the crossed straps would be a problem.

Please everyone, do feel free to recommend other styles and brands because this sandal hunt is driving me mad.

I really like these but they are too f*ing flat.

Diggingmywayout · 01/05/2018 15:01

Sorry, they're awful. I wouldn't wear them and I'm over 60! And I totally feel your pain in trying to find something comfy.

I must say when I clicked on your thread I thought I was opening one titled,

Honest opinions on these sCandals, please Grin

This disappointment has in no way influenced my opinion, btw!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 01/05/2018 15:03

Poor op. I think she's got the point. Cancel the cheque Grin

www.hotter.com/gb/en/tourist-sandals

Suggest these, OP. Also Hotter; they are not flat and they are so squishy. I have the older design from last year. They have quite a few different colours. I'm mid 30s and actually a goth in style. We still need cool feet though! Also I had plantar fasciitis and needed comfy shoes.

Bluntness100 · 01/05/2018 15:16

Bobbin, I don't think they are any better, I'm sorry 😱

MrsPMT · 01/05/2018 15:19

Bobbin those are fab! I can't believe they are by Hotter Shock

wish I needed new sandals Grin

ThereAreTooMany · 01/05/2018 15:25

👀. Ok, I’ll confess but my hotter shoes are those tourist ones posted by Bobbin. I got them last year in silver. The rest of my clothes really really aren’t frumpy so I think I can get away with them.

They are extremely comfortable.

BusterGonad · 01/05/2018 15:32

I'm sorry Bluntness but they are too much like my Mothercare ones when I was 6, not even your lovely red nails can save those bad boys!

bettybyebye · 01/05/2018 15:37

OP look at Skechers and fit flop sandals. Both really comfy with lots of squish! The ones in the op are v frumpy i’m afraid...

SilverHairedCat · 01/05/2018 15:44

Have a look at Teva sandals, or leather walking / hiking sandals.

NellytheElephant18 · 01/05/2018 15:48

Bluntness I have those too - good choice!

ThereAreTooMany · 01/05/2018 15:50

Hiking sandles are the way to go. They aren’t cool or pretty but as they look practical it’s ok.

Bluntness100 · 01/05/2018 15:55

Buster 🤣

HundredMilesAnHour · 01/05/2018 15:58

What about these from Air and Grace? They look flat but they have memory foam insoles so plenty of support/squish. And they won't make you look like a 90 year old lady.

I lived in my Air and Grace espadrilles last year (that are still going strong). More on order for these year! Smile
