Loving this thread - that's my weekend sorted :-)
Here's the first few notes - I'll be back with more - hope they are of some use x

Loved your blog – really loved the ‘Muslim’ angle – am I allowed to say that?! That was the bit I liked the most – I liked your red riding post a lot and ‘liked’ the post itself – for me, the cultural twists you add are what I would be coming back for. I’ll They were equally funny and fascinating. I meant to ‘like’ your blog – I’ll go back to do that when I log on to FB later. Thank you very much for your kind words about my blog. I never meant to start a blog – it just happened after friends told me to start one after seeing my FB updates. I am still working out what it is I’m doing – I love writing the longer pieces – I’ll give it some thought – thank you.

I must admit, I found the blog a bit hard to navigate at first – probably because so far, the only stuff I’ve really read on blogs up until now is on Facebook where the text is literally in front of you – probably says more about me than anything! I read your post called A Funny Story. There is no doubt about it, you write incredibly well – I can imagine this piece in a woman’s magazine as a regular slot. I love the way you are descriptive yet inoffensive – the piece has a very nice feel to it. My only comment would be to say that perhaps I might have expected a bit more of a punch-line, or a more of point to the story, but this really doesn’t take away from the pleasure of reading your piece. I’ll no doubt be back to read more of your other pieces soon.

I liked your blog – I’ve never seen one for speech and language issues – my oldest was under S&L for a while and I definitely would have referred to your blog then. I just don’t know how I would have accessed you when we were looking for help. I saw your other thread about including an expletive in a title. I over-use expletives and I’m not offended by them, but I wasn’t expecting to find out about speech and language when I clicked on the link – not sure that’s a bad thing though – it’s very memorable and I think that’s just as important, if not more so. I reckon there’s a defo a gap there for you
Thanks too for your review of my blog. Totally agree with your comments - the booby cover photo I used when I first set up the blog – there’s a comment on it which says ‘in my mind this is what I look like’ which is the opposite to how I present myself – and the comment won’t be being read by people now - I see your point here and I’ve started to think about changing the cover and profile pics – I just haven’t yet decided what to replace them with but will do. You’re also right – a lot are parenting-based posts – mainly because I’m now in management and so finding stuff that I can write about without getting a law suit filed on me is tough! – but again, you have made me think about approaching from another angle, and actually, the last post I wrote is non-kid related (in case you wanted to take a peek ;-) and seems to have gone down well (please don’t read if swear-words isn’t your thing though…!) I also acknowledge your comment about what happens if the kids read it – it’s something I give a lot of thought to and wonder how the unmumsy mum and the others will manage it but I totally get what you mean and will think on it some more.
I really appreciated your comments – you have definitely made me think about my angle and what it is I’m trying to achieve – seriously thank you.
