A place for Cumberbatch fans to band together whilst waiting for DorkyBatch to return.

Sude gets the points for predicting Carlton Cumberbatch!

CaveMum · 30/08/2015 09:28

At least it's a nice normal name, not an airy fairy artsy one.

Sudename · 30/08/2015 11:03

Yay - what do I win lol
I like the name but think all the C sounds are a bit clunky together

holmessweetholmes · 30/08/2015 22:26

Hello all! Long time no post! I am sitting here watching Scandal in Belgravia, inspired by a thread on here by someone who's only just got around to watching Sherlock Shock. So looking forward to the Christmas special!

Hoping I'll get to see Hamlet on NT live. Haven't looked at any reviews though.

Ooh Irene's about to say "I would have you right here on this desk until you begged for mercy twice". Amen to that.

YonicScrewdriver · 31/08/2015 08:26

I watched The Fifth Estate last night; really talented performance. Off to the Hamlet cinema thing in October.

Sudename · 03/09/2015 11:28

Well HRH how was it?

RiverTam · 03/09/2015 23:05

Heading home from the Barbican as we speak. I thought it was great, though I'm no critic (but the people I was with are and they enjoyed it too). I hadn't realised Ciaran Hinds was in it, he was very good. I hadn't read any reviews and as i say I'm no critic but I liked the production.

The main point however is that Benedict looked mighty fine and pretty damned buff in a thin kind of way which is just what I like. My Cumberlust is reignited!

Sorry, that's not terribly informative but I'm absolutely knackered (DD up twice in the night and I had 2 mojitos befire which perhaps wasn't the best idea!). But it was great.

CaveMum · 04/09/2015 19:26

Glad it was good Tam. I like a lean and lithe BC too Wink

On Mastermind at 8pm tonight, someone's specialist subject is Cabin Pressure. Shall we see how well we all do?!

CaveMum · 04/09/2015 20:24

She did very well, 14 right with no passes or incorrect answers. I got 12 - the questions about the name of Douglas' pub and which member of the orchestra in "Gdansk" was not to be given alcohol.

Anyone get those without the help of Google?!

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 11/09/2015 15:30

Hi all,

Sorry, I haven't fallen off the face of the planet (yet). DS2 started school a few weeks ago, and the adjustment is...intense.

I must admit, the CumberLust is waning. I don't know if it's because too much time has passed (it's been 3 years so far) or if it's the fuckery surrounding TIG and SH.

Still, this was too pretty not to share.

Benedict made the cover of our local rag's television guide this week; for some odd reason the title is "Sherlock in Exile". I will photograph it and see what I can do about a translation. It's not the best of articles, and there's no mention of SH (they do, however, cite "Cumberbitches"). Sad

Hi
I went to the Barbican on Tuesday night was down in London for work and so been trying to get tickets for a while finally managed to get one Monday night............Row J............very happy!! Have NT Live tickets too for October as hadn't thought would ever get there live so will take DH to see it too.

Was a very surreal experience seeing someone so famous in real life like a real person in 3d and everything :-) Agree with river BC looked willowy.

I have seen Hamlet live years ago and loved the Kenneth Branagh movie version which have seen many times so it struggled to live up to that version but it was very good!! BC was great and not just because he was BC, loved the staging it was very impressive.

OnlyLovers · 21/09/2015 09:56

I'm BACK!

Been off the BCAS threads for ages. Missed you all.

I'm seeing Hamlet this week. Think I'm at the back (my tickets were 'only' £30.) Will I need opera glasses? Will I look like a perv with them? do I care?

Cumberlover76 · 22/09/2015 06:59

Baby pics aww he's looking rather lovely and cute with the baby.

RiverTam · 22/09/2015 13:28

I would definitely take opera glasses, Only, and perv away. We were in the £60 circle seats and he was still miles away, the theatre is ginormous.

There's some nice pictures of Benedict and Sophie on Cumberbuddy's Tumblr at the Burberry show yesterday, they look very cute together. Can't add pics as on stupid phone but someone else might be able to?

OnlyLovers · 22/09/2015 13:46

I've ordered some. Grin

Sudename · 22/09/2015 18:46

Hi ladies Hope ye are well. Love the baby pics especially the one where Ben is making silly faces at the pram. They looked good at the Burberry thing but I felt her pants were too short with the long coat. I didn't really like her dress at the Erdem party. It was a bit childish and the colour did nothing for her. She has a grand figure and should shoe it off in something more fitted.
Going to see Hamlet next month. Can't wait

Swex · 26/09/2015 10:01

I went to see Hamlet. Not seen a production before so I was fresh meat. And I loved it. I thought the cast were immensely talented and stage production was lush and fabulous. I enjoyed it. He was great.

Cumberlover76 · 08/10/2015 21:47

So, new Sherlock trailer out. Anyone see? Looks good, built no curls :(

Cumberlover76 · 08/10/2015 21:47

*but no curls

Cumberlover76 · 08/10/2015 21:50

Also had a cumberdream last night. Annoyingly I seemed to be trying to be friends with SH, which was a bit weird as trying (and succeeding) to seduce her husband! - think that might have been a bit of Dr Foster there!

Sudename · 20/10/2015 08:07

Saw the play last night. Loved it! Even teenage dd enjoyed it. Ben is sublime as are rest of cast and thought the set was beautiful.
Andrew Scott was at last night's show I think as he was signing autographs at the stage door too. I didn't bother hanging around as it was late and bad to get back to hotel

Cumberlover76 · 29/10/2015 23:15

I saw the NT at the cinema tonight. Thought it was fantastic. Would have loved to have seen it in the theatre for real. He was amazing and looked gorgeous throughout! It was DH's first Shakespeare and he really enjoyed it. Bravo!

WallinoMio · 18/11/2015 15:42

So, er, has everyone seen this ? At around the 30 second mark. Thoughts..?

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 18/11/2015 21:57

My god. It's worse than AssangeBatch. I need eye bleach.

Thought it was quite funny. I love Zoolander so looking forward to this. How is everyone? Have we all seen Hamlet? Also looking forward to NY day Sherlock. I'm also hoping for another batch calendar from DH for Christmas. If not I'll have to buy it myself!
