am so pleased that corporate London is spending its time so wisely...

Moomin · 22/09/2006 11:41

don't want to see this on mumsnet or is it just me?

tortoise · 22/09/2006 11:42

Do you have to share them? I do not think they are funny.

they aren't funny but there was a warning that it would be offensive, so why click on it?

JonesTheSteam · 22/09/2006 11:43

desperateSCOUSEwife · 22/09/2006 11:44

hey, it did say, 'May be offensive'.

misdee · 22/09/2006 11:45

could be offensive? dont you mean it is?

hunkermunker · 22/09/2006 11:45

I might start a thread called "WARNING, COULD BE OFFENSIVE" and put a porn link in it, then look blank and say I did say it was offensive in the thread header - would that be OK?

Saturn74 · 22/09/2006 11:47

Is that the best they could come up with?

They should definitely not give up their day jobs!

Moomin · 22/09/2006 11:49

a thread about how pathetic these 'jokes' that do the rounds are would be more up mumsnet's street but to repeat them, knowing how contentious this subject has been over the last few days is not on really.

expatinscotland · 22/09/2006 11:50

IMO, it would, hunker, b/c personally, if I read 'could be offensive' I usually give the thread a miss if I'm in the mood to be offended.

morningpaper · 22/09/2006 11:52

It SHOULD say "WARNING: Not actually funny" which is a far greater crime IMO

expatinscotland · 22/09/2006 11:53

I don't find it funny, but I don't think it should be censored.

I find porn disgusting, but others find it entertaining.

IvortheEngine · 22/09/2006 11:54

I don't understand why anyone would want to put this on MN. It's not in the slightest bit funny. It's pathetic.

Moomin · 22/09/2006 11:54

but is its place on mumsnet? (moronic 'jokes' and/or porn)

expatinscotland · 22/09/2006 11:54

There were Steven Irwin jokes on here and no one went all mental.

FluffyCharlotteCorday · 22/09/2006 11:54

It's a bit obvious it's going to be a bad taste joke from the title, I think.

Molesworth · 22/09/2006 11:55

agree with expat

why is everyone getting lairy? these sorts of 'jokes' do the rounds all the time!

Moomin · 22/09/2006 11:56

didn't see them but would have felt the same. i know it goes on but I really don't like that fact that some people try to get a laugh from stuff like this.

desperateSCOUSEwife · 22/09/2006 11:56

expat whether it is richard hammond or steve irwin
I dont agree with taking the piss out of someone else's SERIOUS misfortune

Molesworth · 22/09/2006 11:57

I find such jokes a bit distasteful, but no-one went lairy about the Irwin references (which have been everywhere on mn) ... and he died

expatinscotland · 22/09/2006 11:58

Fair enough, desperate. Then why are you on this thread?

Stuff like this will happen.

I feel the same way about porn, which I feel is far more harmful than crass jokes.

So I give it a miss.

A LOT of stuff that some find very offensive gets posted on here.

Anyone remember the anal sex thread?

So don't read it!
