Oh dear! I am a bit scared about being first. Didn't know whether to put Saturday or Sunday as the finish date but you know what I mean. :)

Here's a little video of our summer.

Hope you are all well!

What unusual baby keepsakes do you cherish?

I'm sentimental, or maybe just confused about what's 'normal' and what's hygienic.

Don't be mistaken. I didn't wolf down my placentas with a bottle of Chianti (I'm vegetarian anyway) and I haven't got my tonsils in a jar.

But It's like an episode of Fleabag Monkeyface in my keepsakes box.

Hi all

I am new, so very excited to share my last post: mummysgotajob.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/minestrone-aka-brontolone.html

It's allegedly about the perfect minestrone, but in reality it is about the frustrations of a mummy (me) with a full time job trying to feed the family with home cooked food.. hope you like it!

:)

I visited the toy library today and found a 'non-competitive' game for the big kids: Tales from the toy library

Hello, newbie here, I guess this a thread for sharing posts on our blogs that we've posted this week?

It's been a cooking week so far with posts on:
The yummy chocolate ganache stack with white chocolate mousse
The not so terribly complicated but slightly more guilt free home-made sausage rolls

Later in the week (today) I'll be posting about my frustrations with doctors and being a stay at home dad in a town where men watch rugby, work in mines and don't cycle around with pink backpacks with "Charlotte" on them.

Oh, and I liked the look of downunderdad's blog!

flubba · 12/09/2012 06:42

Welcome DebonaireDad and yes, this thread is for reading others' and sharing your own posts. Looking forward to reading your choc recipe (but quite happy to have the guilt associated with sausage rolls - that's half the fun! :o)

Singlemarried I have to say Betty stole my heart too reading your blog! :o

Ever fancied a big flouncy Georgian gown like the ones in Marie Antoinette or Dangerous Liaisons? Well, now you can have one custom made.

I also have a post about the possible discovery of Richard III's remains in Leicester.

I've been doing my traditional posts about the victims of Jack the Ripper (no gory photos but there is one of Annie Chapman in her casket with all wounds well covered) as well this year. I've been a Ripperologist since my early teens (it was pre-ordained as my great-great-great grandfather was one of the policemen working on the case) but have no interest in unmasking the killer - I'm more interested in the lives of his victims and other women of the area.

After a few weeks of blogging and general digital media silence I've finally found the inspiration and energy to write a new post about trying to make new mummy friends.....

How have you approached it?
