I've just started transferring the recipes from my treasured recipe book that is 33 years old, to my online recipe box. It's bringing back many memories!

Your illustrations are lovely MaryAnneSingleton.

Will have a read of your blog properly soon. DS1 who is severely autistic probably has more problems from his compulsive behaviours than anything else (even being unable to speak is less of a problem tbh). Will be interesting to see your view.

Interestingly ds1 has learned to manage his compulsions over the year (eg making me lock the kitchen door so he didn't have to go and watch the entire washing machine cycle - until that moment I thought he did it because he liked it, not because his body left him with no choice).

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/06/2012 22:18

thank you saintly - sympathies to your ds -the compulsion thing is so hard and well done to him for dealing with them.

CoffeeMummy · 06/06/2012 22:55

Am pondering a new category for the blog - writing about looking for work, writing CVs & cover letters etc, offering a bit of advice and help for anyone else who's finding that job-hunting is a job in itself. I have no official training - just a way with words and too much some experience of writing CVs and letters Grin

I put off writing about Syria because I like to tell myself that I write a nicey crafty blog, but I can't get the thought of it out of my head, so here's my bit towards the #stopthekilling campaign, because the killings are still taking place
