Hope this meets with your approval. It was getting a bit full on the other thread so we've extended and now need to decorate the new space.

For the walls.

I got "Mystery Man" from the library at the weekend. Bit Blush that I've borrowed it before but it took it back part read. Obviously had to do that because I was so busy and didn't have time to read it. I do this all the time!

Anyway, I'm going to try it again. If I can stay away from MN and YouTube!

A vid of BC talking about his role in To The Ends Of The Earth (via Cumberbatchweb). Apparently it's 'possibly part of an Arena programme that might air 17th March 9pm?

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 07/03/2012 14:14

17 March is a Saturday, so either someone's just got the dates wrong or it's old. I hope the former, obviously!

What IS Benedict wearing??? Looks like Vivienne Westwood (good) but Vivienne Westwood womenswear (not so much) Grin

Prey Modesty prevents my from detailing what exactly did happen in the afore mentioned dream (well, either modesty or the fear of being banned.... but you're not far out with your suggestion Shock - gosh, I'd forgotten the then-trendy goats skin rug until the dream Wink) - but the part of the dream that was most unlikely was the fact that I was playing Bach on the piano - in the (granted farfetched) event that BC did indeed arrive in the doorway, he wouldn't have stood a chance, and the goats skin rug would indeed have played a major role... suffice it to say that the PSOS also made an (albeit brief) appearance...

Time for the fainting and buckets of cold water again...

Fluffymonster · 07/03/2012 21:59

Oh, the To the Ends of The Earth vid has been taken down...oh well.

BC ep of HIGABMNFY is about to start on Dave +1 now (10pm). Dave ja vu as it's called.

exexpat · 07/03/2012 22:21

Odd that they are doing something about To the Ends of the Earth now - it was made years ago. Or is it some anniversary to do with William Golding?

I've watched two episodes of To the Ends of the Earth so far - ordered from the US as it was out of stock on Amazon - and it is very good stuff. For lots of reasons to do with plot & humour as well as BC naked, of course.

LetUsPrey · 07/03/2012 22:22

I have been out. DH is watching football. Zero chance of changing channel.

Thank jeff for YouTube.

LetUsPrey · 08/03/2012 07:37

Well would you believe it? Went to bed last night and checked tv schedules on Sky+ app thing. HIGABMNFY repeated early hours of this morning so I requested it to record. And DH is out tonight. Not making plans though as they rarely come to fruition!

claraschu · 08/03/2012 09:26

Has there only been one episode of HIGBMNFY? The one you can watch on YouTube? Can we lobby for a new episode?

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/03/2012 10:28

Dh has leant my series 1 of Sherlock to a work colleague Angry

Seraphine1 · 08/03/2012 11:53

DesperateHousewife... I hope you have something seriously painful for this infraction! Not good! (I'll be so mad if my husband tries this! He loves Sherlock too, but not like I DO!!)

Seraphine1 · 08/03/2012 11:54

Either that, or for £5 you can get another one from Amazon... and hide it this time! www.amazon.co.uk/Sherlock-1-DVD-Benedict-Cumberbatch/dp/B003TO5414/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331207647&sr=8-1

claraschu · 08/03/2012 12:23

Is this why we're all in love with Sherlock?
deborahcourt.blogspot.com/2012/02/why-women-fall-in-love-with-sherlock.html
Would you be having a crush on BC if you hadn't seen Sherlock?
I have had a crush on Sherlock Holmes since reading the stories as a child, but now I'm just completely ridiculous.
You ladies are GREAT company. Thank you.
I really have to get some work done now; maybe I need to be banned from this thread (and from YouTube).

LetUsPrey · 08/03/2012 12:44

Not read the article but having seen and heard BC in other roles, I think I prefer him not as Sherlock. Although his Sherlock is amazing and I absolutely completely would. Sherlock seems to have been the trigger for me though.

For instance, Matthew McFadyen's Mr Darcy - yes please. Matthew McFadyen in other roles or in RL - no, he's still very nice, but no. (No offence intended Matthew).

DesperateHousewife21, I'd just go ahead and get another dvd from Amazon! An extra fiver has got to be worth the hours and hours of entertainment...

I'm wondering whether to get Series 2 on dvd as a Mother's Day present to myself. Or is it worth hinting. Strongly.

LetUsPrey · 08/03/2012 19:11

I remember being rather cross with DH when he let a colleague of his borrow my Mumford and Sons CD. Out of my car. Overnight.

But a Sherlock DVD??!!

DesperateHousewife - if I may be so bold ...

ahem

Leave the Bastard. (Did I do that right? Don't think I've said it before.)

Or get another DVD. You know, whatever.

The rather lovely Sam Neill has tweeted that BC will be making his guest appearance on his Two Paddocks website 'Top 10 Dayglo Disco' next week!

LetUsPrey · 08/03/2012 21:32

The DC are in bed, DH is out, I am in my pjs, I have a Brew and HIGABMNFY on the Sky+. Cumbernest ahoy!

OP posts:
CaveMum · 08/03/2012 21:37

There are 2 versions of the BC HIGNFY - the standard 30min version that you can watch on YouTube and the 45min HIGMNFY that was repeated on BBC2 a few weeks ago.

I meant to say, we had a Sherlockathon on Sunday - we watched the whole of Series 2 back to back. Heaven Grin

LetUsPrey · 08/03/2012 21:43

I am watching the longer version. More BC!

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 08/03/2012 22:32

Bollocks. DH came home earlier than expected. How very dare he? Not finished HIGABMNFY. I'm up to the North Korea bit of The Round of the Baskervilles. So I haven't had my Damn Good Shag Grin.

Partway through ep six of series one of Cabin Pressure. The writing is fantastic and all the cast are wonderful. Love it!

claraschu · 09/03/2012 06:22

CaveMum thank you so much for the info. Is there any way to see the extra 15 minutes if I missed it onBBC2? I never watch TV, and I have 2 deeply suspicious teenagers checking up on me, so there was no way I could turn it on without outing myself IYSWIM. The teasing would be merciless.

LetUsPrey · 09/03/2012 07:16

The longer version might be on YouTube.

Right I'm having a moan! Not impressed with the NTlive email subscription service, for updates re: Frankenstein encore screenings. Signed up weeks and weeks ago, and not had a single email from them. Tweeted them about it and nothing happened there either. Anyone else had better luck?

LetUsPrey · 09/03/2012 12:49

I was driving into work this morning. BC's generally there or thereabouts in my head. The image of him standing to the side of me, slightly behind, whispering dirty suggestive comments in my ear, popped into my head.

This prompted this --> Grin.

Then the image of Steve Backshall standing on the other side of me, also whispering similar things in my ear, joined the scenario.

This prompted a small gasp and this --> Blush Grin. I may have swerved the car a bit too.

I've been thinking about it all morning. Let's just say my colleagues and bosses think I'm in a jolly happy mood!
