Hope this meets with your approval. It was getting a bit full on the other thread so we've extended and now need to decorate the new space.

For the walls.

Steven Moffat on Sherlock Series 3

Also, Cumberbatchweb have put links up to this afternoon's Radio 4 piece, which apparently includes BC singing Grin
I can't put up links from my phone, but if you google Cumberbatchweb you'll find it.

Seraphine1 · 01/03/2012 18:43

While I don't tend to favour all this "shipper" stuff on YouTube pairing John with Sherlock romantically, this video was really well done and still works on the "friendship" level rather than a romantic one:

Some of the editing skills of these YouTube folks is incredible - really nicely done!

Seraphine1 · 01/03/2012 18:49

(sorry, forgot the link above)

And here's the one from Cumberbatchweb that Cavemum mentioned:

And another:

Seraphine1 · 01/03/2012 18:52

And, while I'm posting other weepy Sherlock series 2 vids, here's another one:

It has the music from "Lost", and it's very sad.

Seraphine1 · 01/03/2012 18:53

Doh!

LetUsPrey · 01/03/2012 19:43

Seraphine1 - waaaaaaahhhhhhhhh waaaaaahhhhhhhh waaaaahhhhhh

(That's me sobbing by the way)

Martin Freeman was brilliant as Watson all the way through all six (seven if you count the pilot) episodes, but in the graveside scene he was truly astounding. It's one of the most well-written and well-acted scenes I've ever seen.

MF is an amazing actor - he's got incredibly timing and presence, and I wish him well (once the Hobbit opens, his life is going to be insane)

I can lose incredible amounts of time looking at stuff on YouTube... while a lot of it is twaddle, like this oerhaps: some of it is bloody fantastic.

Sorry to make you cry - I can find some more stuff if you like?

  • the above clip is a song from Avenue Q, and while it's funny, it's not high art as it were.... I wonder if BC ever sees this stuff about him?
Seraphine1 · 01/03/2012 19:53

Arg... is there a way I can set this to work automatically?

LetUsPrey · 01/03/2012 19:56

Seraphine1 - when you paste in a link, either put round it or tick the box to automatically convert links.

LetUsPrey · 01/03/2012 20:00

For instance the link without brackets.

Type it in the and type something before the end set of]] gets

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 01/03/2012 20:02

Type it or post it I meant.

I'm rubbish at this - mumsnet explain it better than me in the bit headed Links next to all the smileys.

All I have to do is hit the little box at the bottom of the posting box, but I never remember to! I'm a moron... sorry.

Fluffymonster · 01/03/2012 21:39

If we're talking weepies. I like this Sherlock/John fanvid

is a different, but I like it, esp. the beginning as they kept the dramatic score - it's heartstopping! 'Bartholomew', I like too - maybe it's the sound of pumping testosterone!
CaveMum · 01/03/2012 21:44

I have to say I'm not a fan of all the "Sherlock loves John" stuff out there. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way anti-gay, I just find it odd that people are trying to find homoerotic undertones where, to me, there aren't any!

Rant over!

Fluffymonster · 01/03/2012 21:48

Comic relief ! It's silly. Very silly. But it still makes me giggle!

Fluffymonster · 01/03/2012 21:53

I agree CaveMum - but I read it as more of a platonic love/friendship in the link, nothing 'romantic'. I don't really like messing with the friendship bit and trying to turn it into a romance either. It's not how it was written then and not now.

LetUsPrey · 01/03/2012 22:01

Just been enjoying YouTube.

Already posted it loads but

Ooh missed lots whilst I was lusting after BC carefully selecting links. Grin

Agree re the Sherlock/Watson friendship comments above.

Love it when he talks dirty! Strange as it sounds I find that Jaguar commercial hotter than the Casanova recordings...

CaveMum · 01/03/2012 22:09

I love from Hounds of Baskerville.

I hadn't realised that a Mind Palace is a genuine memory technique.

Sherlock - educational as well as easy on the eye Wink

LetUsPrey · 01/03/2012 22:15

I know what you mean Fluffymonster! Seriously, how can the word "seconds" sound so .. so .. filthy?! I love it!

OP posts:
Fluffymonster · 01/03/2012 22:21

'computational fluid dynamics'...omfg.

I literally don't think I could listen to this in public without blushing!

CaveMum · 01/03/2012 22:27

He could read the assembly instructions for flat pack furniture and make it sound like an indecent proposal Grin

"Insert part a into part b"

Oh yes please Grin

TheAddict · 01/03/2012 22:34

Youtube has already posted the Radio 4 Rumploe episode from this afternoon:

Oh gosh, I've accidentally clicked the link and am now listening to it for only the sixth time today .... Grin

Incidentally, has anyone else noticed that the music Sherlock is 'composing' in Scandal in Belgravia is in fact the slow theme from the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series?

Thinks: does The Addict need to get out more? Hmm

LetUsPrey · 01/03/2012 22:38

CaveMum Grin

"It says to slide it in gently" Grin.

TheAddict - I'll listen out for the music. Excellent spot! I'd stay in if I was you and keep "accidentally" clicking links like the rest of us.
