Not sure if it's technically allowed to start the next weeks blog posts a couple of hours before schedule, so let me know if I'm out of line and I will dutifully sit at the back of the class. Xmas Blush Besides... I've probably done it incorrectly anyway!

Late Sat night and I'm trying to work out how to stay sexy and also warm simultaneously..... Thermal Lingerie? Does it even exist?

Thanks, lowimpact. x

God, you are all so clever and creative.

I can only offer a review and giveaway of Zumba Fitness 2

Trills · 07/12/2011 18:44

I've posted about gruesome tablet decorations (probably not advised for vegetarians).

Trills · 07/12/2011 18:52

*table, not tablet.

I'm not really sure how it all got so offaly.

JoanneMallon - OK, tried some photo effects, but I'm not sure I can get away with quick fixes and fancy effects when my initial pic is sooo bad!! Xmas Hmm

Christmas Bad and Portrait Ugly

Thanks though - will check out the website you mention... I suspect more time requires investing in this.....

I love that pic of you! It's great, very Andy Warhol. Honestly, Hipstamatic is the best. It takes 10 years off you and makes everything look like a 1960s album cover. But if all else fails there's always the Commons section of Flickr, where you can pick up very nice pictures which are free to use as long as you credit the photographer.

yummymummyreally · 07/12/2011 21:08

Turns out Hispstamatic is specifically for the iphone/ipad etc range. I've downloaded one of the android equivalents... (coveting an iphone more each day though!) Will also look at Flickr!

p.s. thanks! Andy would be proud (?)

christmas telly todays post.
can I ask have any of you had a problem with followers on your blog? You know the way a little picture comes up on your list of followers of each follower. I never really paid much attention to mine as for some reason they don't show up on my laptop . but today when I was on my blog on my phone I was disgusted to see some bloddy womans vagina as a picture. then there were another 3 similar porn images. I'm hoping this is just a random thing and that someone hasn't put these onto mine intentionally.

Lifeofanexpatparent · 07/12/2011 21:57

behind on life. behind on blog. new post up about my mummy 'failures' on St Nicholas Day and how a kid can make it right.

ATOmum · 07/12/2011 23:52

Evening all - up too late blogging about DS1's nativity today, in which he was 'Herod's servant' and 'Prayer reader', those classic nativity roles that we all know so well. Never have I seen an imaginary door opened with such commitment...

Herod's servant and the great staging triumph

ScatCatShoo · 08/12/2011 06:02

I have a new post for more Christmas biscuits. These are dangerously easy and very addictive Chocolate Orange Shortbread Biscuits

Husband and I had a disagreement about these, but obviously it didn't stop him from munching through the whole lot. I need a better hiding place :)

Tapering Timeline vs MRHA Guidance on Withdrawal

Not a Christmassy post in sight on my blog again sorry Xmas Smile

Will be posting a bit of Christmassy black humour tomorrow though.

fiddlerintheloft · 08/12/2011 09:35

Lifeofanexpatparent I really enjoy your blog, have just commented.

strawberry and others, will take a look at your latest posts now. Like expat parent I'm behind on everything, but just managed a blog post late last night, it's about the whys and wherefores of giving pre-school children a musical start in life - it's a cross between and interview and a guest post by a lady who runs a v successful chain of music groups for 0-5s.

fiddlerintheloft · 08/12/2011 09:45

QueenMaeve that's horrible re the pix, poor you. No experience of it myself though I do get a lot of spam and am about to install akismet. Mine is all mostly of the 'your ratings are rubbish get this amazing plug-in' variety rather than the porno pictures though.

strawberry17 · 08/12/2011 10:19

I really like Lifeofanexpatparent as well, having American friends and relatives it's interesting to read the cultural differences.

FiveHoursSleep · 08/12/2011 11:32

Xmassy here.
We've just enjoyed our 6th Nativity play

wannaBe · 08/12/2011 12:23

perhaps a bit controversial but hey I never was one for toeing the party line... Grin

And I've finally fixed my html issue so can insert links again..

PetiteRaleuse · 08/12/2011 18:03

I embarassed myself today

QueenMaeve · 08/12/2011 18:28

ShirleyKnot · 08/12/2011 21:05

I've been busy stamping my feet about the CSA changes but I have FINALLY written a short post tonight on the wonders of my Werther's Original Vodka

Seriously people, it is DELISH and not much effort!

Will try to catch up with you all - I'm finding it a bit difficult because I'm spreading myself a bit thin with the #frothers stuff and the broadband service has been AWFUL. I'm taking my ipad to bed tonight for a jolly good read though.

DillyTante · 08/12/2011 21:16

Hello all. Had a horribly shouty evening at my children. Preceded by an attempted at being super mummy. I'm not sure why I do this to myself! Not sure what I am trying to prove either? Cakes for the Christmas fair.

lowimpactmama · 08/12/2011 22:29

Shirley werthers orginal vodka - sounds yum! And considering being pregnant turns me right off booze that's high praise from me Wink

QueenMaeve how vile about the photos! Glad you deleted the followers button. I use askimet and find it really good, though my spam is also mostly of the "your blog is rubbish use this random plug in" variety as well.

Today was my day off work and was busy but we managed to fit in paper snowflakes aka the simplest craft you can do at Christmas!

And I've just found out I'm in the MN Bloggers advent calendar! [proud][not worthy]. Now I'm off to do a proper blog hop around all the lovely blogs on here...

lowimpactmama · 08/12/2011 22:30

Groan, I am not usually this rubbish at links! Here's the link to the simple pleasure of cutting paper snowflakes
