Not sure if it's technically allowed to start the next weeks blog posts a couple of hours before schedule, so let me know if I'm out of line and I will dutifully sit at the back of the class. Xmas Blush Besides... I've probably done it incorrectly anyway!

Late Sat night and I'm trying to work out how to stay sexy and also warm simultaneously..... Thermal Lingerie? Does it even exist?

Can anyone help me track down a post? I was reading a lovely blog today where the (US) writer was posting about a gorgeous Christmas garland she'd made using white air-dry clay to cut tiny stars and then stringing them with butcher's twine. I'm sure I found it via this forum but now can't find it anywhere - does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks!

Welcome to Nellnewman.
Great selection of Christmas posts this week. We have had a few over the last few weeks but today's posts was about Spinach and 3 great ideas of what to do with Spinach!

The link did not work. I tried to do a nice looking one but I'm not that technical so

MmeGuillotine · 06/12/2011 21:20

Here's an excerpt from my current Work In Progress.

I've also posted a couple of book reviews since I last ventured here (it's been hellishly busy here lately) for Season of Light by Katharine McMahon and Cavalier Queen by Fiona Mountain.

I've just realised that my reviews and er pretty much everything I post ends up on the first page of Google for whatever the topic is almost immediately, which is a bit offputting if I want to write a less than fawning review of something! :(

wannaBe · 06/12/2011 22:25

evening all.

I finally have a badge on my blog! Grin

Have been reading through lots of the posts on here - I don't always comment but I do read :)

Today I have blogged about

wannaBe · 06/12/2011 22:27

I blogged late last night about children's picture books to match the cold weather...

Loving all the ideas for Christmas recipes and crafts! We will be 'crafting' on Saturday and will blog about it - off to get all the bits we need today (so much for saving money...)

PetiteRaleuse · 07/12/2011 09:56

Good morning. I have done a rather rambling rant about why Brits are becoming intolerant and angry, but also pointing out that it's the same in France .

I've also vaguely linked it to the rise of the internet, but it's a bit rambly because I'm hungover tired.

wannaBe · 07/12/2011 10:23

morning.

Petite I have realized why I can't comment on your posts - it's because you have word verification for comments and it doesn't work with my screenreader and the listen link is unfortunately crap (this is a well-documented complaint by VI people about verifications :D

I am working on a solution (there is apparently one but I can't figure it out :D).

wannaBe · 07/12/2011 10:53

oh yay have solved the issue - yay for technology Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 07/12/2011 11:28

Well done. I didn't know I had word verification for comments. I know I ook off the moderation thing.

yummymummyreally · 07/12/2011 11:28

Morning all. Xmas Smile

I am learning so much from the brilliant blogs that I have discovered through Mumsnet, so thank you all! A couple of my favourites so far (Attempting the Ordinary and The House with No Name) I have linked to in my post today about the experience of joining the Mumsnet Bloggers Network so far.

Joining Mumsnet and learning a lot

Am about to start perusing somemore of the great posts listed here. And having glanced at the photos at overmydeadbody's Astonishing splashes of colour.... oh my goodness, they are gorgeous!

MeHeandThem - thanks for the comments! Will pop over to your blog now!

yummymummy dare I say... if the iPhone app is anything to go by you're not missing much with there not being an android app. Wink

in response to the top news story this morning I have blogged about

\link{http://attheheartoftheopinion.blogspot.com/2011/12/your-health-your-responsibility.html\your health, your responsibility}

Not sure how that will go down... Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 07/12/2011 11:53

wannaBe have commented. Good post, though I don't agree with everything you have said.

lowimpactmama · 07/12/2011 16:07

FlamingoBingo I'd love that book! I heart Naomi Stadlen...have commented (and also blogged about it

Overmydeadbody what wonderful wrapping! I also love brown paper and reusing scraps of fabric, though I fear my efforts don't look as stylish as the images on your blog!

yummymummyreally · 07/12/2011 16:59

Wannabe - oh that would be a shame. I am new to the whole concept of smart phones and the sky app on it is fab. Literally about 5 clicks and you can record anything from anywhere. Technology can be so fab when it works.
