Celebrity ages - holding back the years?

How I guffawed, when I read about Geri Halliwell, 38, this morning. I remember being considerably younger than her when the Spice Girls were around - to the tune of at least 3 or 4 years. Now, we practically share a birthday.

Any one else noticed this and who else is playing fast and loose with DOBs?

Am fairly sure Geri halliwell is younger than me - i'm 43, and I would have thought she was about 5 years younger....?

Pleased to hear that UJ is 43, I look like I have drunk from the fountain of eternal youth compared to her (gloats in unseemly fashion)

What age is Kylie claiming? She ought to be 43 (same age as me, same birthday month) - just going to google to see if she is being scrupulously honest [in Kylie's case however, I look like her grandmother]

Donna Air is now the same age as DH and I, but when we were kids she was a teenager in Byker Grove...

I'm not sure that UJ has shaved that much off her age - I think she's just one of these woman who doesn't suit being so skinny and I think it's the weight loss that's aged her look.

Christine Bleakley, though - even if she's 32 she's had a tough paper round.

hey HMC - I share the exact birthday with Kylie, so she will never get away with it! I too look like her mother, while her skin appears to get tighter and wrinkles seem to be appearing ON my wrinkles.

Also agree re Uj not shaving years off but more an argument for ageing effect of sun and extreme weight loss.

There is something very human about ulrika - has had a lot of stuff happen but media wouldn't give a bloke the shit she gets about multiple partners etc

UJ sounds about right at 43, and Kylie should be 43 also, Gerry was the oldest spice girl and by a few years as well, Emma was the youngest, Posh is about the same age as Robbie Williams, 38, so Gerry must be 40 or older by now.

I do know that Posh, Robbie Williams and Kate Moss are all the same age as me (38 this year). So it will be amusing if I ever notice that they're tinkered with their ages.

Kate Moss might have had more fun than me but I have fewer wrinkles. Hmm

Jason Statham's age has been tampered with. He's from just up the road from where I live (Derbyshire) but they've rewritten his bio so he was born 5 years later in London.

Jason Statham....he's 44, from Derbyshire according to everything I've ever read. Age seems about right, I've not seen his bio rewritten although admittedly I perv over his photos more than I read about him

I remember Beyonce was the same age as me (I am 34). I remember CLEARLY that when I was 20, she was 20. Now she's suddenly 30.

Geri was a few years above me at school. If she'd stayed on, she'd have been Lower Sixth when I started. I turned 35 this school year so she would have turned 40.

I've wondered about Sarah Jessica Parker for a while. I am surprised to see she's only supposed to be five years older than me. If my parents hadn't moved I could have dug out all of my old Teen Magazines and settled this debate once and for all.

Unless...when they were younger they had to 'lie up' ?!

Beyonce's dates seem to stack up though - born in 1981 she would have been 16 at the start of Destiny's child in 1997 which sounds about right.

There are certainly celebs who were older tham me yet who now aren't. Cameron Diaz for one.

Kyle hasn't tampered with her age - she has always been the same as me (in age as well as looks. Ahem.)

I was going to say Florence. I have nothing against her but is she really 25?
She doesn't seem the type to lie for vanity reasons but perhaps to appeal to the yoof?
