poorly toddler/dog needing walking

would you leave poorly toddler (temp, bad cough)with his sensible 13yo db, so i can take the dog out for a walk.

-will only be out for 40 minutes
-i will have phone on me and won't be more than ten mins from home
-ds1 doesn't feel comfortable taking dog out yet (3 stone mad puppy who lunges)
-snow and ice means i can't bundle up and shove ds2 in the pram.

How is ds2 today?

he's ok,fever broke last night, no more pink sick!
managed a walk today.

Poor toot and poor mum - glad he is on the mend.
