I don’t know how to tag the previous thread but it became full (mainly with unnecessary comments and speculation)

People were still discussing and asking relevant questions so I am happy to continue the discussion and answer them if people want me to.

As with the first thread I won’t be naming them, answering personal or outing questions about them or engaging with nastiness.

I am not sure what you are trying to get from the threads?

sleepertraintomorrow26 · 17/08/2026 20:22

This is more about the difference in finance between you both.

During pregnancy and birth my sister had care at the portland hospital and lindo wing with her second. She also managed to outsource alot of the grim jobs that come with becoming/being a mum.

I give birth in a nhs hospital where I was left in the waiting room 5 cm gone ( in fairness to the staff they didn't know) and I was doing nursery runs etc while recovering childbirth etc. My husband had no choice but to go back to work.

During the early months I felt really jealous of her which didn't help she had no idea how hard it was without first class care and help.

Did you feel similar?

So stop opening them and leave them for people who do? Simples

sleepertraintomorrow26 · 17/08/2026 20:24

Forgot to add she is a brilliant mum who hires help to spend more time with her children rather then less time.

Imdunfer · 17/08/2026 20:30

What do you feel you have been able to do as a "normal" person that has helped your sibling cope with their fame/the stresses of a famous lifestyle?

I’d never really thought about that before, there are other situations where available finance has made things easier for them but not through pregnancy and becoming a parent.
Their experience was really difficult for a number of other reasons that no amount of money could have really changed so I don’t envy them there.

I’m sure if theirs had been easier and/or mine had been more difficult I would feel the same as you though. Did you ever talk to her about it?

Harvey. Jesus Sophie (or fake Sophie) get a life

Do you have a tattle thread or feature on one?

We have and she understood why. I also understood that no matter what care she had it still hurt like a mother fucker ( her words not mine lol) That she still had mum gulit leaving her kids with the nanny like I did with nursery.

Probably just the doing of and talking about normal things with them, just treating them like a normal person. Supporting and protecting them where we can, accepting and understanding their career and the given lifestyle.

I think my question may have got lost with the old thread and also I wanted to add another. If your relative woke up tomorrow magically no longer a celebrity, how would they cope do you think? Also, comparing public perception of your relative to the reality of the person you know…are they more or less kind, stable, clever etc than their public image?

likeitshard · 18/08/2026 07:27

Do you think they will ever step away from limelight?

AngelCakesHairstyle · 18/08/2026 09:44

Really interesting, thanks OP.

I have a celebrity pal, and would not want to be famous for love nor money. I think they are often quite lonely.

What would you say your parents were like with the three of you growing up? Is there anything you sense contributed to sibling's wish for fame or their chosen career?

What style of parenting did your parents have, and do you actively want to do a different style of parenting for your kids?

Edited for typos

In terms of our parents I think we had a happy, loving, normal childhood. We were very supported and encouraged to be ourselves and do what we wanted to do, my siblings dream was never dismissed or laughed at. We were also maybe given a little bit more freedom, chance to experiment and fail than some other kids were.

It’s a different time now and we’re in different circumstances but it terms of parenting there isn’t really anything specific I would want to do differently from what my parents did.

I can’t imagine them ever doing that, I don’t know what else they could or would want to do.

No, you have a pal. If you’re a true pal you’d never refer to them being a celebrity. If it’s a relative, they are just your relative. Children of celebrities see them just as parents and have the usual family dynamics good and bad going on. The created celebrity status usually brings more hassle for the child, especially if they’ve been born to influencer types who post the children’s images all over social.

Give this thread a rest, OP. You’re just somebody’s sister. Respect their privacy and demonstrate they can trust you not to share previously unknown information about them.

My sibling would refer to themselves as a celebrity, being a celebrity is a big part of who they are and has a big effect on their relationships with friends and family which they would also agree with.

I do respect their privacy and haven’t shared previously unknown information about them, for a start I haven’t named them.

No you haven’t named them, but you also noticeably haven’t said that it’s not the celebrity that many other posters have guessed.

If your sibling isn’t Katie Price, then it’s arguably morally unfair (to her, her children and her sibling) to deliberately allow people to think it is.

Indeed. A simple, no it's not price would suffice.

Of course, it's just as likely that OP is just a fantasist.

Whosthetabbynow · 18/08/2026 20:10

Is it Katie Price? Fern Britton?
