Why are cleaning fees so high? It seems to be about £60 and I can't think what a cleaner would do in say a small flat for 3 hours, especially when guests usually have to take out rubbish, wipe down surfaces etc.

It's a small 1-bed house with ensuite to the bedroom. My cleaner does it in 2 hrs, but then after she cleans I do another hour or two checking and micro-cleaning stuff like descaling the kettle or cleaning saucepans badly cleaned by the guest, and I will always - ALWAYS - find a few hairs the cleaner has missed.

How do you manage the heating? Do you set the thermostat at certain temperatures at various times during the year eg 20c in the Winter? How many hours a day is the heating on for? Is it on in the Summer or is there secondary heating like an electric fire?
I've got a house I was renting until last year and now it's redecorated I'm thinking of Airbnb. Oil heating with a portable Wifi thermostat so I suppose in theory the guests could alter the temperature by fiddling with it....

Unfortunately, the Welsh govt has fucked the holiday home business and indeed the rental market so I'm considering my options.
