The 10.5 tog duvet fits inside a washing machine
What is the Silentnight Anti-Allergy Duvet like to sleep under?
Comfort was one of the areas where the duvet scored particularly well. Nicola rated comfort five out of five and found the weight balanced nicely.
“The weight feels comfortable (not too heavy and not too light),” she said.
Because the filling is lightweight hollowfibre, the duvet feels soft and cosy without pressing down heavily on the body. Nicola also reported sleeping better overall while using the duvet.
Does the Silentnight Anti-Allergy Duvet regulate temperature?
Nicola tends to overheat at night, so temperature regulation was something she was paying close attention to.
She found the 10.5 tog version kept her comfortable and described the overnight temperature as “just right”.
This isn’t surprising given that 10.5 tog is often marketed as an all-season duvet. In homes with central heating it can provide enough warmth in cooler months without feeling overly heavy.
Weight, drape and coverage
The duvet performed well when it came to staying in place overnight. Nicola tends to move around while sleeping, but she found the duvet draped comfortably over the body without sliding off or bunching up.
It also provided good coverage across the bed, which is helpful when you’re sharing space with a wriggly toddler.
How the Silentnight Anti-Allergy Duvet compares to others
Nicola felt the duvet performed about the same as other duvets she has owned at a similar price point. That’s not necessarily a criticism. The Silentnight Anti-Allergy duvet isn’t positioned as luxury bedding, but as a reliable, practical option that does the basics well.

Is the Silentnight Anti-Allergy Duvet sustainable?
Like most hollowfibre duvets, the filling is polyester rather than a natural material such as wool or down.
While this isn’t the most environmentally friendly option, synthetic duvets do have the advantage of being durable and easy to wash, which can extend their lifespan.
Is the Silentnight Anti-Allergy Duvet easy to care for?
This was one of Nicola’s favourite features.
“I like to freshen up my duvets, so it was a bonus that it fit comfortably in my 9kg load washing machine,” she said. The duvet can be machine washed at 40°C and Nicola confirmed it held its shape well.
“It still stayed in good condition after washing and didn’t bunch up.”
