Well, this is a surprise (to me) - I don't keep on top of Canadian media these days, as I find it a monoculture, so all I knew was that Trudeau was very unpopular but had no idea that there was a possibility he'd be resigning ahead of the election.

One of Shauny Boy's funny little videos about the Scottish Greens ( but which references Justin Trudeau) 😆

I am very glad he is gone. However, too late as the damage he inflicted to Canada and its citizens may be hard to shake.

Thanks, this info passed me by!

Apparently the former Bank of England governor, Mark Carney, is a contender for new leader of the Liberals.

He's Canadian?

Yes, I heard quite a few interviews with him on the radio when he headed up the Bank of England.

Apparently the former Bank of England governor, Mark Carney, is a contender for new leader of the Liberals. One has to wonder, though, if a new leader would reverse some of crazy measures implemented by Trudeau, or would it simply be a matter of more appealing window dressing ahead of the upcoming election?

One of the most hated men in politics and rightly so.

EasternStandard · 07/01/2025 07:57

Maybe we’ll see a shift on some of the extreme stuff

Which would be good

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/01/2025 07:53

Glad to hear he's gone, interested to see what happens now. Fuckity bye Justin.

Good. There is hope for Canada.

Does it? 🤞
I don’t follow Canadian politics, so I’d love to read a more informed opinion. I wasn’t aware of political differences re GI - are there? Is there a chance Canadian women will get (some of) their rights back??
