I think Trump's Executive Orders are already written and simply await his signature in the 'Trump draws' style. (Does anyone remember 'Trump draws'? It was bloody hilarious on Twitter, as it then was.)

And Woke Canada is finally moving in the right direction too- from opposition leader Pierre Poilievre-

as a canadian i'm trilled that our government is being pushed to beef up the border security as well increase our nato spending. trudeau must go.
sad that it's taken the president of another country to get us going on things the canadian public have been requesting for years.
his border/immigration/fenanyl/nato idea (although not founded on genuine numbers) are decent ideas that we should have been doing ourselves.

Americans don't usually differentiate between sex and gender.It's not an active part of the discussion there.

The tariff thing is interesting. He's also told Canada that unless they improve border security, he will put on a tariff.And they are scrambling to do it, it's a significant motivator.

I will be interested to see if Mexico finds it equally motivating.

Something else for President Trump's 'Things To Do On Day One' list!

'Day One' is 20th January, but let's be generous and give him till the first full day of his presidency, 21st January. It's going to be one heck of a day, as he has already promised to:

"On Day One, I will revoke Joe Biden’s cruel policies on so-called “gender affirming care”
"On day one, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to get the criminals out,"
He said he would never abuse power as retribution against anybody. "Except for day one."
War in Ukraine: "I will get it settled before I even become president." [i.e. before 20th January]
“My very first day back in the White House, I will terminate every single open border policy of the Biden-Harris administration, and we will seal the border.”
"I would fire him [Special Counsel Jack Smith] within two seconds. He'll be one of the first things addressed"
"And I will end the electric vehicle mandate on day one".
“I’m going to inform (the Mexican president) on Day 1 or sooner that if they don’t stop this onslaught of criminals and drugs coming into our country, I’m going to immediately impose a 25% tariff on everything they send into the US"

Hopefully his commitments relating to gender ideology will actually be carried out on Day One.

I'm hoping that strong encouragement from people like Vance and Musk (and Congress members like Nancy Mace) will make Trump hold to any statements he's made that will be positive for those at risk because of gender identity ideology.

I also think that the pre-election ads showed Trump's camp that there is a huge swell of support among the electorate for a return to sense on this issue.

Hmm. I watch with interest.
