Gendered vocabulary should be removed from pregnancy care, suggests Labour MP

Some of the comments from the thread:

"I'm all for inclusivity and stuff...but this is too far. They're making real women feel invalidated."

"No. If a woman wants to become a dude when an adult, then fine. But to suggest, a tiny minority should influence the vocabulary of the gender of people giving birth is ludicrous."

"Men don't have babies. 'Trans men' can have babies because the are really women. Simple."

Most of the comments seem to be 'Nope' and 'politicians are lunatics', which is encouraging.

He's off his rocker. I was thinking about this earlier actually. Someone who I used to know has decided she's a bloke. Doesn't matter what she does, she'll never be a bloke. Then I was thinking of the other women who decide they're blokes, but then go and do the most female thing of having a baby! The mind boggles.

My sympathy for transmen who don't consider themselves women, and might miss out on cervical screenings etc, is close to zero. You put yourself in this situation; deal with it.
