I was going to write that he missed out on a my little pony phase, but having read his biographical details it looks like he had a very tough early life and that escaping into imagination and fantasy was salvation for him.
I suppose it gives him a USP as a performer and American academic.
I wish him happiness but it bothers me that he is 'educating' young people towards confusion.

Is there any chance it could be a giant taking the piss experiment?

I could see someone, especially someone mixed race, making an interesting argument, that if they are allowed to choose to be black - which they are - they could also choose to be white.

But - I do sometimes wonder how many of these people are just grifters.

Most of what he’s saying makes no sense at all, he wants to have swishy hair and rosy cheeks yet he doesn’t so he identifies as if he does and that makes him feel better?? 🤯

I’m surprised that no one has picked up on him saying he could have stood up to violence if he was a white girl, because women’s and girls never experience violence do they?? 😡 that’s so incredibly offensive.

In some ways, the sooner we get to being able to identify as a whatever sub-atomic giraffe punk Chinese purple -haired three year old grandma of a footstool we like, the sooner the normal people can just crack on with proper binary toilets, sports and healthcare and sanity can resume.

So I’m all for it!

If he said he was mixed race I don't think anyone would be arguing about it, because we understand that to be likely ie having ancestors from different places. But it's the ludicrous idea that he can be trans racial as well as being trans gender. I mean how much more stupid things is he going to come up with. No one changes sex, he seems to think that feeling something means he is that.
I feel like I am witnessing the equivalent of the decline and fall of the Roman empire.

What the actual ..? This is fucking insane. It seems pretty insulting to black women- is he the sort of man who would only date a white woman out of internalised racism. Fetishising, prejudiced & insulting to all groups concerned.

Oh dear. It would all be so much easier to navigate if we substituted "identifies as" for "wants to be".

I prefer the shorter 'isn't'.

I'll preface this by saying I've not had time to read or watch any of those links. I'll do that later, then this post will probably make me cringe. Anyway, especially if he's American or European he's probably got white ancestry, so 'identifying' with that part of his genetic make up? Why not? It makes more sense than the impossibility of a man claiming to be female.

I don't mind this in that the more and more ridiculous it becomes, the more people that are prepared to stand up and say that it is all delusional, absurd, damaging and insulting and the farce that has been trans, gets lumped in with that.

He's really racist. Like there's some huge difference and undefinable 'betterness' about being a white woman instead of a a black woman (never mind the fact that he is a man of course). Horrible man.
