A particularly diligent trans identified male transactivist says there is a network monitoring “far right” activity on here.

which might explain why some
posters get suspended for saying things that some people find challenging to hear.

I’d like to keep hearing from TinselAngel. How do we protect her freedom of speech, expression, and you could probably argue association, from being limited by people who are known to harass women IRL?

Flounce alert: Had an innocuous post on another thread deleted and decided that, perhaps, after all this is not the forum for me. Free speech really doesn’t exist here, does it?

Think I will delete my account later today. Have enjoyed engaging here for the most part as I have few people to discuss and learn new things for, but think I will have to find another way to connect with my ‘community’ of gender realist feminists. Will start with actually meeting up with my local WRN members. Would have liked to join a local political party, but I am currently homeless as a person who flipflops either side of the central line.

Bit fed up, really.

Don't go @CautiousLurker (although meeting the WRN campaigners is a great idea) MN is one of the few sites you can say trans women are men and not get deleted. I found out more about gender critical views on here after finally twigging that 'trans rights' were directly opposed to women's rights. I'm here to lay it out for the next woman like me who realises what she's being told doesn't add up but needs more information. Your contributions have been really useful. 🙂

Mittens67 · 08/09/2024 11:24

Well I am a life long labour voter and I still don’t think men can become women.
Such ridiculous nonsense all this labelling anyone who believes in biology as far right. Another attempt to tie TRA intentions to a more sympathetic cause.

The mistake they make is that thinking women will go away if they are banned from this one website.

WarriorN · 08/09/2024 08:18

It's ironic that the authoritarian nature of no debate is the style of politics that has seen the rise of far right dictatorships, but there we go.

As an aside, I have the most marvellous diary free gluten free lemon cake I pinched off of a fb group the other day, apparently from a 70s cook book.

Basically eggs, ground almonds, lemons and sugar. Dunno if I'm allowed to share it tho.

Hands up, I’d love that recipe!

Edited to add thanks to others clarifying about Tinsel suspended, not banned. The TRAs must celebrate every time a FWR regular gets banned.

'Floaty' is doing some heavy lifting there.

I see it more like Mr Yaniv's photo in the dress where it looked like he did a massive fart and his dress bellowed out behind him. That kind of floaty.

ColinRobinsonsFart · 08/09/2024 09:21

Fred and his ilk are Taliban-lite

If they had their way we wouldn't be allowed to speak at all so I have to say

I saw this mentioned on X ....

Let them monitor our speech...if anything it will make us more militant.

Any man on here, feeling he has the right to police our speech, must be very threatened by us.... I think that why they feel the need to constantly attack...

They realise how, as a group, powerful women are.

CrochetForLife · 08/09/2024 09:01

Namechangeforadhd · 07/09/2024 13:42

'far right' is just the equivalent of the 80s 'loony left' trope, and is basically meaningless.
Also, they can monitor all they want. Males and their handmaids have always wanted to monitor females and still do. No surprise there.

Yep, and the '70s Womens Lib era of being called feminazi.

They've now shortened it to just 'nazi'.

Any time women say NO to men, we're far right or feminazis or nazis. Same shit, different era. The misogyny bandwagons continue on.

Oh, I see. She needs to watch what she says about abusive men?

Because abusive men like to maintain some level of control over women in what ever way they can.

I'll stop there so as not to upset mn.

I obviously meant the ChatGTP thingy… god I feel like an old fogey who can’t even get the tech names right!!

Ah that's not what I meant Cautious!
I thoroughly enjoyed exploring ChatGPT's descriptions of myself and many other regular posters.
Likes to focus on the positives in people I notice.
A delightful detour. Thank you😊

FWR goes through periods where we lose lots of excellent posters. We mourn the fallen and hope for new posters to join and keep passing the flame.

Has Tinsel been banned? The one that was the saddest was the poster who worked in safeguarding (can’t remember their MN name) and knew a lot about grooming tactics. I found her posts so illuminating.

ETA: crossed with others.

Safeguarding was LangCleg.

Tinsel had mentioned in another thread that, following a suspension, MNHQ had advised her that she needs to be very circumspect wrt Talk Guidelines.

I hope she's still with us.

What?!

@TinselAngel is that true?

I believe she's suspended?

Participating in a debate on MN regards transgenderism is what helped to shift my views significantly.

Over the course of this particular thread, I went from ' oh live and let live, no one's being hurt' to a much more vocal opposition to what some Trans proponents are pushing for.

Thankyou MN posters for that! And for giving me confidence to openly say ' no this is messed up and the implications of this are huge'

And this is why free speech and debate is an important democrat process.

Stonewall's #nodebate was incredibly damaging to womens rights and child safety. Once seen as pure misogyny you can't unsee it.

LangCleg

She rocked and knew her stuff. I understand why the traliban had to get her banned, she was a big problem for them.

@Boiledbeetle I can offer a navy cake recipe if you prefer but I warn you that it's heavy on the rum

Sounds perfect!. It's only lemon drizzle I have a pathological hatred of!

Can’t believe my helpful comments to any lurking TIMS have been deleted! Fucksake MN! We all know men can’t be women. Women are not a feeling in a man’s head and we can ALWAYS tell.
