4 wide eyed innocent questions for GC women

  1. Do you believe all GC women agree that northern women make the best Yorkshire pudding batter due to their aggression?
  2. I know a left wing woman who thinks the milk should go in before the tea, is this abhorrent behaviour a left wing thing and will you disassociate yourself from the left because of it?
  3. Brambles mostly reproduce asexually. How many subspecies do you think there are?
  4. Is my husband gender nonconformist because he hung up the washing? Should I be worried he might start keeping track of the family’s birthdays next?

Happy to answer your questions too.

Only a joke, clam down now.

ArabellaScott · 04/09/2024 18:34

Fish puns?

Christ on a pike.

I'm still hungry. But I don't like fish. Well, I do, but I like 'em swimming around, not on my plate.
Gimme a steak though...

We don’t want you to feel like a fish out of water so don’t clam up, draw up a perch and join in.

Having said that, we do have other fish to fry.

I might do. Just need to mullet over.

SinnerBoy · 04/09/2024 15:43

For cod's hake! Enough of the fish puns!

@lcakethereforeIam am sure we can divert the thread back by the mere mention of fishcakes, though?

quantumbutterfly · 04/09/2024 13:43

It would be shellfish to stop your fun.

lcakethereforeIam · 04/09/2024 13:10

NB I have been to the little coop - fishcakes for tea from the bargain shelf. With baby plum tomaties from Yorks and some Hereford strawbs for afters.

PollyDactyl · 04/09/2024 12:48

V good, wims, v good indeed!

Who the hell changed the topic to fish?

Chips. We were talking chips. Mmmmmmm. Lovely fat crispy chips with a seas worth of salt and maybe a runny yolked egg on top.

I'm hungry

I don't like Yorkshire puddings or tea. I have no opinion on brambles and I don't have a husband, nor am I seeking one.
Am I still allowed to be part of GC Club or will I be expelled? I'm still waiting for the boatloads of right-wing cash that are supposed to be funding my part in the movement. If you could save my expulsion until after I get my cheque, it'd be much appreciated. Ta.

InvisibleBuffy are you me? I didn't realise I had name changed

CautiousLurker · 04/09/2024 09:37

Tempted to report these posts for diversionary tactics, but will reel myself in.

Hmm, don't mean to be koi, and I'll try not to carp on but surely that would only be true if we were posting slake recipes!

lcakethereforeIam · 04/09/2024 09:13

Thanks for letting minnow.

Sometimes we're a little hard of herring too.

I should really stop trying to skim read things, they're was a brief moment there when I was wondering what fish had to do with a cup of tea!

There are times when we are all talking at cross porpoises.

There is no universal perfect cup of tea. I start from the view that all tea is good tea but some is better than others. My personal favourite is 2 spoons of sugar, a Ceylon teabag and 4 fifths up to the top with boiling water. Leave for about 5 minutes then fish the teabag out and top up with ideal milk.

I wouldn't impose this on anybody else. It is just the way I like it.
