VAWG as a public health emergency

I heard violence against women and girls referred to as a public health emergency.

Of course it is.

It should be treated as such, same way as any other public health emergency.
I mean... the financial cost alone without the personal cost. The mind boggles.

Plus the damage caused by the sex trade inequalities at work etc etc

But surely sex based violence and by that I mean all sexual harassment whether at work or at home, all domestic abuse all childhood sexual abuse and all murdered and raped women plus 'routine' harassment means that female injury whether psychological or physical outweighs male injury.
