It's easily checked that JKR hasn't deleted her tweets so why have 125k people like this?

Many trans rights activists really are truly unhinged.

Helleofabore · 22/08/2024 18:41

And Stonewall are 'having a clean out' of content too..

https://x.com/nmjcoveney/status/1826638131099304316

Hey @stonewalluk can you please respond to accusations that you are deleting Trans content en masse from your site? Extremely disappointed to hear that you’re turning your back on our Trans and NB siblings. This is not what I expect from you as a charity for our whole community.

then

Updating this, currently seems as if marketing/blog content is being cleared out (inevitably happens), their website still has multiple references and resources referring to the Trans community and LGBT as a group but it would be great if
Stonewall’d boost Trans and NB voices

'... the wrongness of their gloating over Rowling should not distract us from the disgustingness of it. The gender ideology’s mask hasn’t only slipped this past week, it’s been completely destroyed. We have just witnessed an explosion in sexist intolerance, a riot of woman-hate, a borderline medieval rush to bask in the silence of a hushed hysterical woman. If anyone ever again tries to tell you that the gender ideology is ‘progressive’, remind them that its adherents literally danced with joy in the mistaken belief that a man had terrified a woman into silence. '

Excellent from Brendan O'Neill.

The hatred for JK Rowling is truly unhinged now

The gender army really does want to shut down this uppity woman.

JKR is trending on Twitter.

For ... not posting on Twitter.

😂

Ereshkigalangcleg · 22/08/2024 16:59

Yes, they are working themselves up into a frenzy.

Oh dear Lord. The obsession is insane.

It makes me admire her more, to be honest.

Who would want that in their life? The power you know you have would be paralysing.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 22/08/2024 16:59

Yes, they are working themselves up into a frenzy.

CobwebCorner · 22/08/2024 16:38

They really are obsessed with her. She tweets they get angry. She doesn't tweet and they get even angrier. I predict apoplectic rage when JK returns from her holiday.

MassiveWordSalad · 22/08/2024 15:19

This is hilarious, the missive from the lawyers made me lol in public 🤣

I would like to imagine Jo is swanning around enjoying a fabulous holiday, nary a nanothought of 'legal action' troubling her well-earned rest. When she gets back, she'll grab a brew, fire up the laptop, put on her reading glasses (after wondering where she left them, then remembering they're on top of her head) and with a small sigh, rattle off a pithy put-down that could be immortalised in stone for the ages. And then get back to directing her immense resources into helping the truly needy and changing the world for the better.

ONE HUNDRED AND SIX THOUSAND people have liked this tweet instead of popping over to JKR's profile and finding out whether it's true - it's not, none of her tweets about Khelif being male have been deleted.

And that is twitter in a nutshell. 🤷

I absolutely love that JKR 'not tweeting' makes it into news outlets.

You do wonder if journalists ever stop and think: "Harold Evans exposed the Thalidomide scandal in the Sunday Times. Woodward and Bernstein uncovered Watergate. I just wrote a whole story about someone not tweeting for three weeks."

Julie Bindel did a very funny tweet:

'Not sure what's keeping jk rowling from tweeting, but just received a postcard from her, with a photo of a beach, and the message, "Weather is here, wish you were beautiful," which is a bit rude of her, even if she is on the vodka-infused candy floss at 9am.'

Amusingly, some people seem to have taken this literally, rather than realising that Bindel was just having a bit of fun.

fromorbit · 22/08/2024 13:33

It has got even funnier! JKR wins while just relaxing on holiday.

Janet Inglis
Travis Akers has deleted 79 tweets since being called out for lying about JK Rowling deleting tweets, and hasn't tweeted in 8 hours.

I have a feeling that they might not be real lawyers because they use "since" and "therefore" in the same sentence. I think JKR could afford better lawyers than that.

They may not be real lawyers but they are awesome writers.

I've just alarmed a busful of passengers by laughing out loud - very loud.

fromorbit · 22/08/2024 12:46

They are going to be v disappointed when JKR gets back from hols. She is resting up her tweeting power till she gets stuck into Paralympic sexism which starts on Aug 30th.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 22/08/2024 12:11

This is exactly the seriousness that this "legal challenge" should be treated with. 😂

Speaking of the delusions of trans activists, there is this happening now too.

Willoughby and the Non Crime Hate Incident of being called a 'man'.

Also know as "An abuser who wishes to control the language of that abuser's targeted victim". The DARVO never seems to stop.

So, two supposed legal issues all while JK Rowling is on holiday.

Edited

JKR will be delighted and I'm sure will robustly challenge this. If it is true...

@Helleofabore

I think this is an entirely appropriate thread for your contributions.

I didn't ask you if I could contribute here or not, so your permission isn't required. Thanks though.

And strangely, I wasn't giving you permission at all because that is not and has never been in my power.

You seem to be very keen on claiming that I have some sort of power, or attempting to wield some sort of power, over you and your actions. When I have none at all. That is something that we have seen all too regularly as a tactic on social media that this thread is discussing. I am glad that you found the thread.

If you don't want people to interact with your posts, why do you post? I am not saying that you are not welcome to post on this public forum at all. I am merely questioning how you believe people should interact with your posts if they disagree with them and the accusations you make. Are you used to only posting somewhere where support only is allowed?

@Helleofabore

No. You don’t bother me as you are just one of a very long line of posters who demonise and vilify the people you disagree with. One who resorts to hyperbole and emoting. And no doubt you will certainly not be the last.

Pot, meet kettle.

Hardly.

But at least you are now on this thread and not attempting to shame concerned feminists, some who are very worried parents who are dealing with the impact to young lives of the exponential increase of mainly female children claiming transgender identities and making fucked up statements.

I think this is an entirely appropriate thread for your contributions.

Very slightly off topic, but what an absolute brilliant statement by the Danish minister for Digitalisation and Equality, Marie Bjerre on the new thread Another Crack in the Wall.
And she is sticking to her guns.

I saw that the other day, omelettes.

"I can call you 'she', and I will fully respect your choice. But I'll be bloody angry if you want access to the female changing room."

Danish minister for Digitalisation and Equality, Marie Bjerre

I think the cheers of women around the world are still echoing. Some louder than others, no doubt, but cheering all the same at the clarity of the statement.
