Horrific story about death due to surgical complications, was reading it and poof. Anyone know what happened. This is such important information to get out there.

I saw on one of her tiktoks yesterday she said the clinic who did the surgery has a 95-100% complication rate.

She was told they only had a 45-50% complication rate.

It beggers belief.

And there you are.

I'm fairly happy that "my side" (whatever that is) doesn't use fruitfarms as a useful source. But whatever you think, necessary.

I’ve not seen KFs used as a useful source on these threads. Mentioned from time to time as a place where discussions about particular events or people take place that were banned elsewhere, but never as a resource. Having never been on it, I won’t comment on its political leanings.

What I will say is that the vast vast majority of useful sources on the FWR threads are published medical articles, actual clips of events, government statistics. Everything I would qualify as reliable evidence. Indeed, posters often ask for corroborating information and data and not just conjecture. It’s something I appreciate and learn from.

Also, going by many FWR comments, I’d hazard a guess that the majority of FWR posters are/were ‘liberal lefties’. Many FWR posters were saying ahead of the GE that they felt politically homeless. Myself included. I read the same about many Democrats. It’s so unfortunate that the trans liberation movement has been accepted by so many ‘progressive’ institutions without a single thought as to the wider consequences for women’s single sex spaces or children’s safeguarding. Either lazy and/or misogynistic, but totally captured.

In any event, reference to a political ‘left’ and ‘right’ (categories increasingly losing their meaning) is specious and disingenuous as the issue is not political, but about women’s rights and safeguarding children and vulnerable young people. The latter, in particular, cuts across any political category. The death of poor Griffin Sivret ought to have been easily preventable.

she had a second account when locked out of the first. Gruffin22
And a post about the partial costs- said there’s more.

Those costs are eye opening!

And sadly, for making extreme body modifications to healthy bodies.

BezMills · 20/08/2024 09:03

I'm past caring about allegations of being far right. This is what happens when idiots on the internet call everything far right all the time. I don't need to justify myself, it's a waste of time.

No. That's a classic response - "You just think it's far right because you think it's horrible". It encompasses all the hate and bilge that can't be expressed on the usual sites. This hostility and ideology stems most commonly from the far right. Sorry.

No it doesn't Confused

I'm a bit mystified as to why you believe the fruitfarms is a political site. I haven't seen a lot of political discussion on that site. What makes you think it's a site discussing far right politics?

This. I've occasionally visited the Farm to see what a certain vexatious litigant is up to. It's the only place that dares to carry news of him. I've never come across anything political.

FrancescaContini · 20/08/2024 08:54

Totally agree with your final sentence @TheKeatingFive

Trying to shoehorn correct/incorrect views into similarly binary left/right wing categories must make their brains explode. Maybe that’s why so many supporters of gender ideology get so easily rattled.

NotBadConsidering · 20/08/2024 08:53

OldCrone · 20/08/2024 08:41

I agree.

I do find it surprising that so many people who purport to be socialists are so on board with it. The individualism doesn't seem to sit well with a political viewpoint which supposedly values community and caring about all members of society. Arguing that privileged males should have everything they want at the expense of women and children seems a bit odd.

The Communist Party isn't on board with trans ideology though, and they are normally considered to be left wing.

Yes, the individualism of a free market health approach with people being allowed to do whatever they want to themselves free from government interference is a particular example of how right wing trans activism is.

“Stay out of our lives, you meddling nanny state!”

That’s what’s happened here to this young person: no government oversight, a free market, and deadly consequences.

KeirSpoutsTwaddle · 20/08/2024 08:52

But it’s digression from Griffin.

TheKeatingFive · 20/08/2024 08:51

The communist party aren't on board because their views are rooted very strongly in material reality. The idea of 'identifying out' of an oppressed position would be total nonsense in their eyes.

KeirSpoutsTwaddle · 20/08/2024 08:51

Kiwi farms is rude. As in, impolite. It’s robust, sweary, takes no prisoners and no one- no one- is immune from being pointed at and laughed at.

And it’s truthful. If you make a claim, you back it up. And that backing up is often the last place evidence can be seen when the rest of the net has been scrupulously scraped clean of things people don’t want you to know.

It's very odd.

The trans movement is certainly not classically left wing. It's a strange combination of left wing utopian thinking, Big pharma, extreme individualism and authoritarian illiberalism. The latter three are definitely more right than left leaning.

But then, I don't find 'left' versus 'right' helpful labels these days. I agree it's much more about official narrative versus alternatives.

Dygger · 20/08/2024 08:48

'Extreme far-right' means 'Shut the fuck up NOW'

Yup. I actively campaigned and canvassed for my leftie-Labour MP back in June yet apparently I've been extreme right for many years because I don't believe men can be women.

It does, as a previous poster noted, make one feel more and more like actually moving to the right.

FrancescaContini · 20/08/2024 08:44

Calling someone “right wing” is not only a way to get them to shut up but also to apologise for their view, and perhaps grovel for forgiveness.

Reducing discussions about genderism to a binary left / right wing is very sixth form. I can hear Rik shouting “Fascist!” I get the feeling that “right wing” comments come from posters who were born a long time after the Young Ones were on TV.

Catsmere · 20/08/2024 08:09

I've read comments elsewhere from women pointing out that the trans privilege movement is itself right wing. Authoritarian, violent, racist, male supremacist ... they have a point, so virtue signalling about how GC women must be purer than pure just makes me roll my eyes.

I agree.

'Right-wing conspiracy theorist' means 'Someone who has dared to say something that falls outside the narrative being pushed by mainstream media'

@OldCrone

Is the hate and bilge on this sign from the far right?

As said to Hellofabore, most commonly the hate and bilge on the fruitfarms comes from the far right - meaning, most but not all.

Of course that sign isn't acceptable.

I'm a bit mystified as to why you believe the fruitfarms is a political site. I haven't seen a lot of political discussion on that site. What makes you think it's a site discussing far right politics?

Yes. And the belief in identity is solely based on the individual. The degree of individualism is rather detrimental to collectivism, it could be argued.

timenowplease · 20/08/2024 08:33

'Extreme far-right' means 'Shut the fuck up NOW'

timenowplease · 20/08/2024 08:29

For those asking for a definition of 'far-right' it means 'Shut up'.

You're welcome.

@Helleofabore

What side is that then? I don’t use kiwi farms as a resource, but now I am really interested what the fuck you use as a resource considering what you have been posting on another thread that you believe is ‘plausible’. Because it doesn’t seem to be an accurate resource that provides information, it seems to be regurgitated opinion from self identified opinion leaders who don’t seem to understand the information they are broadcasting fully formed opinions on.

I just said "whatever that is"? It certainly isn't far right.

And how superior of you to suggest my thoughts are regurgitated opinions from inaccurate sources. Are you my teacher? No? Then any essay-writing critiques are best kept to yourself, please.

Well, to use your terminology, I was aiming for the “nicest interpretation”.

Thank you for clearing up that you are just throwing stuff out there with little evidence or understanding.

Oooh, where did you find that? I've screenshot it but would love to find the original so I can use it more easily.
