Far right just means politics?

What else did you think it meant? It's a political ideology or type of ideology.

Helleofabore · 20/08/2024 10:02

"All the content was posted by Griffin originally. It should be being discussed in "left leaning" forums due to the unfathomable harm it's caused."

It really should be discussed widely and in depth. Because this incredibly vulnerable person has been let down by those who professed to offer Griffin the care that Griffin needed. Instead they offered 'treatments' that led to Griffin's death.

@Dygger

Thank you for that. Not many adults around here who refer to their teachers. And lots of women here willing to listen to people who are better informed than they are.

School holidays, eh?

Not many adults feel the need to critique others' posts like academic essays, and then tell them that they are, apparently, better informed while not being able to answer the question I originally asked.

And then imply I'm a pimply teenager on school break. Laughable.

Yeah, we're laughing atcha. Keep it going.

I watched a vid of a detransitioner. One of the things they were told was that, "there is 5% risk of X, a 5% risk of Y, a 2% risk of Z..."

What they were not told is that although the risks are individually rare most people have several of them .

Did you read "most commonly" in my post, or did you just skip that in your haste to call me out?

You have no idea, you're just repeating things you read on Reddit or whatever. It's not a "far right" site. It's frequently racist, misogynistic, homophobic but those things aren't "far right" in and of themselves. "Far right" means a particular ideology. "Far left" a different one. There is often overlap in the type of extreme action promoted.

I don't use Reddit for that. I just look at cat stuff there 😄

WarriorN · 20/08/2024 09:56

Mein Kampf is a primary source of far right extremism that led to extreme horror and murder.

Is the argument that no one should ever read it to expose and document the harm it caused? By those who are against harm, racism and experimental eugenics?

The images and films of Griffin are primary sources collected by the farmers but were on social media posted by griffin. They document experimental medical malpractices.

As an aside, I went to look the other day and could only see banalness about various tv programmes, bar something on Farrow, Harrop and flying lawyer. There probably is a load of really awful stuff; Mr Beast's trans mate, 'mainstream' you tube lovies, appears to have done the same and tried to hide it all.

I've read all this on Twitter via exulansic and Becky. That is what is being discussed on this thread.

All the content was posted by Griffin originally. It should be being discussed in "left leaning" forums due to the unfathomable harm it's caused.

Instead we get glorification by channel 4 and the metro.

@OldCrone

I'm a bit mystified as to why you believe the fruitfarms is a political site. I haven't seen a lot of political discussion on that site. What makes you think it's a site discussing far right politics?

Far right just means politics? That's new. I must write that down.

timenowplease · 20/08/2024 09:34

Absolutely.

You'd think that would be something Stonewall could help with. I would genuinely get behind that if they did.

Absobloodylutely.

KeirSpoutsTwaddle · 20/08/2024 09:36

Before Elon- and I’m not a fan- this wouldn’t have been on twitter, either.

It’s all a bit odd, this free speech business.

Being able to talk about Griffin may helped many other young women make better choices.

One of Griffins TikToks referred to an ‘out trans teen’.

I look at Griffin and the money they spent and see no possibility of anything else. Is there such a thing as a closeted trans teen? All the young transmen I’ve seen have looked very much like gender non conforming girls.

Of course there could be hundreds of passing transmen I simply haven’t spotted. But, you know.

TheABC · 20/08/2024 09:14

Dear gods, really?
Is there really no regulator to step in when the complications rate is so high and the consequences are so devastating?

If anything is a trans right issue, this is. They deserve the same safe standard of health care as the rest of us. All of these men and women start out with healthy bodies.

Absolutely.

RainWithSunnySpells · 20/08/2024 09:19

If you want to look at the far right, I am going to suggest that we look at Mussolini (who I hope we can all agree really was far right) and how freedom of speech was curtailed and how the press was contolled under his Fascist party. It is clear that controlling what information people were able to read, hear and see was important to him and the party.

Now, I am not saying that Null (owner of the farms) is the 'best guy in the world' as I have never met him and I know nothing about him bar listening to a Benjamin Boyce interview he gave on youtube. I will say that he is tenacious and resourceful when it comes to keeping his website going.

I am going to suggest that keeping a free speech forum going - even one that grew from documenting Chris Chan into documenting lolcows (essentially people who do stupid stuff on the internet) in general - and is very keen on archiving primary sources, is not about contolling information in the way that our 'friend' Il Duce was.

There are definitely people who want to contol the narrative that 'gender affirming care' is lifesaving. It is vital that the evidnce that this 'care' can take a healthy (physically) person and then kill them slowly and painfully is not memory holed. The truth does matter. Griffin mattered. I just find it all so heart breaking.

TheKeatingFive · 20/08/2024 09:15

I've never been on Kiwi Farms in my life. All the info I have on this case comes from X. No doubt I'll be told that's 'far right' also.

But here's the rub. Left leaning press will not report stories like this. The Guardian, BBC won't cover this in a million years.

So where does that leave us? These awful stories get swept under the carpet because it's politically expedient to do so? So another generation of young people have no idea what they're actually exposing themselves to when they undertake these surgeries?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 20/08/2024 09:14

Reducing discussions about genderism to a binary left / right wing is very sixth form. I can hear Rik shouting “Fascist!” I get the feeling that “right wing” comments come from posters who were born a long time after the Young Ones were on TV.

Yes, or the ones who didn't get the joke.

TheABC · 20/08/2024 09:14

timenowplease · 20/08/2024 09:04

I saw on one of her tiktoks yesterday she said the clinic who did the surgery has a 95-100% complication rate.

She was told they only had a 45-50% complication rate.

It beggers belief.

Dear gods, really?
Is there really no regulator to step in when the complications rate is so high and the consequences are so devastating?

Mmmnotsure · 20/08/2024 09:13

KeirSpoutsTwaddle · 20/08/2024 08:52

But it’s digression from Griffin.

Exactly.

Here we go again.

Another time when a specific, powerful example of the tragic outcome of trans ideology in real life for a real person is derailed onto a general discussion, with the added bonus of including many allegations of far-rightness.

That would make a separate, interesting thread, if people who make the far right accusations would like to bring their arguments (but first, Define Terms).

In the meantime, Griffin Sivret.

Agreed, it's literally this meme.

I’m literally booked for a haircut this week. What a coincidence! Must be your fault, guys.

Dygger · 20/08/2024 09:10

Oh, have they started doing that again? Explains why I've been deleted twice recently.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 20/08/2024 09:09

Careful @AlisonDonut you'll get deleted for "misgendering" because that's obviously the most terrible thing here.
