Interesting point. Way back in the early stages I think there was discussion about what odds the bookies might be offering, and the consensus was that they’d know exactly what the outcome was going to be. Bookies are pretty switched-on when it comes to reality, I believe.

On the question of who knew what when, IK appears to have been in the army - and will therefore have had army medicals. I doubt they include routine sex tests, but are presumably a little more rigorous than the 'but there's barely any medical care in rural Algeria' arguments would like to suggest.

This is the bit where a few posters prefer is not to comment on how masculine one boxer looks. I noticed how wiry lin is in comparison with the polish woman, whose upper body looks quite bulky in comparison, yet still distinctly female.

The two finals in question and the commentators on both, amazing reach, no shit Sherlock. The two boxer in the gender eligibility row both have longer limbs but no coincidence there. I noticed the polish corner giving no tactical advice because they knew that despite the dickheads with their be braver that the corner had more sense and didn’t want their fighter getting punched to please the audience and to male commentators who seemed to want more violence.
