Help me present evidence to my son

My DS is 18 and heavy into the TWAW belief. He thinks JK Rowling is a despicable human being for her position and thinks that women should have no problem with all of this, and it's all just "scare-mongering" to say otherwise. Whenever I try to talk to him about this I end up getting too emotional to be rational. I really want to present him with evidence that this movement is not good for women - please help direct me to some good resources. Thank you.

This has happened to women. The only thing disgusting about it is that it has happened to women - first the rape, and then the way the courts dealt with the case, traumatising the victim all over again.

Why don't you care about those women? This is not about you.

As an aside, my twenty-something son has heard my take on TWAM many, many times. He agrees with me but didn't really think it was that big a deal in the scheme of things.

Following that boxing match yesterday was taken aback. He went away and did his own research and was telling me all the details he'd found out - he was genuinely shocked. I hope he's realising the real world impacts of gender ideology on females.

Its not "not all men" (which i detest as a phrase, because male violence is a genuine and measurable issue, systemic and embedded in power structures and institutions) And i am completely supportive of single sex spaces (and also separate/additional single gender spaces) because of this
Its more a "based on data, where is the threat?" and interpretation of the data of offenders in prison shows a trend, but this isnt a reasonable sample. you cant extrapolate from a sub-group of a population by saying the behaviour of trans criminals is applicable to all trans people? There just isnt compelling evidence for me to fear the trans community as a whole, and certainly not more than straight men. And, as i said before, i have trans friends of all ages from 20-70 so ive prob got an implicit bias there too, which i'll totally accept might colour my view

It's not about fearing the trans community - that's what a lot of people seem to misunderstand.

It's about trans identified males being no different in their patterns of offending against women and children than other males. So, logically it makes no sense to treat them (a subset of males) any differently. Simple as that.

What are you disgusted by? That a woman should have to call her rapist 'she' because they are a transwoman or because you're being asked whether you think that's OK?

I have educated myself. That's why I believe that trans women are men. All of them. Even the nice ones. Even the ones who have had their penises removed.

Ok, there is fear and anger now on all sides but it need not be. A lot is engendered by anti trans ideologues not backing with actual evidence or very small statistical evidence.

I would hate to be in the ladies with men even cd TVs but trans women are women with or without a chemically castrated willy or with orchectomy. Most can’t get erections and don’t want them. Most are waiting 6-10 years for gender identity healthcare and have to live in the role for at least two years to be believed so how can they use the men’s loo where they will be attacked?

I suppose this could be useful for @AlbertaWildRose if this comes up with her son. If a transwoman appears in court accused of rape, should the victim be compelled to call the alleged rapist 'she'. Is the defendant a woman? If so, do they cease to be a woman if found guilty?

I probably wouldn’t bother at his age and this point in time. I’d simply say “we shall have to agree to disagree” and leave it at that.

I wouldn’t tolerate being lectured by a teenager with no life experience especially a male one. He’s entitled to his opinions but they wouldn’t be welcome to be expressed in my home unless he was open to listening and considering the alternatives. If he’s not then it’s an off the table subject.

I used to believe all sorts of shit when I was 18. Let’s hope he just matures and develops critical thought!
