Words fail I'm so angry, but by god she is brave.
Personally I feel sick and 'triggered' it reminds me of the first time an ex punched me on the thigh, I couldnt get over how much it hurt or the enormous bruise from knee to hip. I know there is a general thread on this but its so important it deserves multiple threads. I hope Carinis decision to stop the fight so very publicly makes a difference.
Meanwhile Khelif crows “I am here for gold,” “I will fight anybody, I will fight them all.”
Not the REMOTEST hint of sportsmanlike conduct.
I vote we write to VIiner en masse and lay some responsibility at her feet.
Actually EVERY editor, The Indy NYT WAPO etc

Can't believe the whataboutery on this thread: would someone please think of the poor men with the EXTREMELY RARE condition which, coincidentally pops up everywhere in elite WOMENS sports. It's a loophole, it needs closing. The women's category is not an access point for less capable male athletes to join elite sports.

I cant sleep Im so riled, the whataboutery from some possibly male posters is infuriating.
And then have the absolute cheek to flounce of the thread saying we are awful.
AKA 'youre right but Im too weak to admit it"

We know he has XY chromosomes. He is male. Aren’t we awful trying to stop men punching women? Why do you want men to be allowed to punch women?

the boxer is male. Has a massively unfair advantage. If you can't see that, I can't help you.

Then they simply do not compete.

Exactly!!! In the UK there is no requirement for a GRC to change the sex in your passport. Just a letter from a medical practitioner (hello Drs Webberly, Runswick & Harrop) and a bill in your ‘female’ name

I really don’t care if I sound like a “douchbag”. I’d rather that than people perpetuate the lie that this man is a woman.

The reason he is eligible is because he has female on his passport. That is the reason the IOC have given. HTH

I haven't seen the fight, but nobody has to participate in a 'sport' that basically consists of people hitting each other.

Men, whether DSD men or trans identifying men, have male advantage over women. They are not eligible for the women’s category on account of them being men. There’s no difference between the two. The women’s category needs to be protected.
