Photo shoes full text. I’ve marked the image as “sensitive” just in case. It’s on X [[https://x.com/whatthetrans/status/1817500749539975501?s=61&t=TN4CzXKpOm6TjNuEIWLnuA here]]. I don’t know why these things still surprise me. Why is this kind of rhetoric acceptable, but - for example - referring to male boxers in the women’s Olympic competition is prohibited by IOC guidelines?

According to several official-seeming reports on the internet, the number of people who have ever lived on this planet is about 119 billion.

The number on the placard/bit of cardboard is over 457 billion.

Perhaps the card means 457 in one location, 759 in another, 864 in a third and 530 in a fourth?!

Wow 109 billion is still a huge number, even if if taken over 200,000 years.

Regardless, if all the billions of terfs were done away with, you're only going to have a tiny population left, many of whom won't be able to mate thanks to sterilising themselves with drugs and surgeries. Another win for the TRAs!

Absolutely this. I think the account is quite sincere - and to be fair, the rest of the signs are not like this one. I’m just surprised they picked this one to include, especially when they describe the thread as “edited”!

It's not even the maddest sign, though. There's one that says "I love tits & chopping them off." There's another one parroting the lie about 16 dead trans kids.

And don't let's forget, as ever, "Queers for Gaza."

I just googled that number out of curiosity and this thread came up which says "It's from a bootleg chinese shirt, which strings together nonsense english words in order to sound cool."
So it sounds like (unsurprisingly) very online people making a geeky reference.

It always strikes me too how this is the kind of posturing a child or a disaffected teen does. It looks all big and tough, and it comes from the same political movement that wants women as human shields when they go out in balaclavas to chalk rude messages on pavements and shout a bit.

I am simply lamenting the fact that statements (in any context - see eg BBC reporting of crimes by trans women where they fall over themselves not to mention sex) of neutral fact that may upset (“harm”) this group of people are effectively censored. And yet statements made by this group (in any context) which directly reference violence are (apparently) considered reasonable and acceptable.
