However I think it's a very clear article - despite using 'she', they state exactly when each of the competitors competed as men, when they switched to women's competition, and how many places their rankings suddenly rose. They are spelling things out pretty clearly for readers.

Remember though, that it was use of pronouns that were leveraged by McKinnon to convince the committees like the IOC to allow males to compete in female sports categories. Because nice people used their pronouns, and therefore these male people were considered female by everyone. And that this means it is cruel to exclude them from female sports.

Pronouns are a huge fucking problem on a collective level.

My father who is a keen amateur cyclist (and just shy of 80) rang me up about to have a massive rant about this. Turns out he knows all about Laurel Hubbard, Lia Thomas and David Lammy. Despite living in New Zealand (or maybe because of living in New Zealand). It ended up with him promising to send me the terrific book he recently got off Amazon- Helen Joyce's 'Trans'.

It was quite the conversation. (Although I already have Trans. He said he'd send it to my aunt instead who has recently started using non-binary pronouns I hear).

The general public are learning that these kind of statements always turn out to be bullshit, and the harms to women are fast, hard and gleeful. And the sight of three men like that is going to do some work for women too. It is disgraceful misogyny. Inexcusable.
