I speak to my dc. What they understand of gender ideology is from teaching at their schools.

Nothing to do with the press. They only know about it from classes

And their friends. And maybe social media depending on their ages.

I was challenging "children are taught..."
Not all children are taught this.
This is why I repeatedly suggest that concerned parents contact the school if they have any concerns.
I don't see what's wrong with that.

So, if not all children are being taught this, why are ANY children being taught this?

How did this get into some schools - and cause chaos, quite frankly - but not others?

If its not generally accepted, and should not be, why are some schools saying it is? Why are teachers afraid of saying anything?

Why is it, when we do, we get told we are bigots and fascists? Or, we get told it is NOT happening.

Which you have just done, @EmpressOfTheThread . And then run off.

OK, I get it. You think it's a panic, you think teachers like me are exaggerating? What if we are not? What if real, irreversible harm is being done in SOME schools?

EmpressOfTheThread · 06/07/2024 17:19

Anyway, I have to go now, so all the best to any concerned parents on here.
Do ask the school about your child's curriculum. 👍

You think men are going to take over breastfeeding and menopause groups?
You think despite the Cass Report doctors are going to start treating teenagers with surgery and puberty blockers again? I don't think there is any evidence this will happen at all.

Why is it so far fetched when they have shoehorned themselves into every other women only spaces including rape and domestic violence support groups and refuges. There's loads of them who want to be "pregnant"and "breastfeed" these are common fetishes in the community from what i've seen and some have suckled babies with their vile moob juice, that has already happened.
Who knows what will happen in the future with puberty blockers and surgery for teens, we can only hope that it is a thing of the past thanks to the Cass review.

I never told you anything, @rabbitwoman . I never made any unsubstantiated claims.
I would, however, prefer to look at evidence and verify some of the claims, which I will do.

Apologies.

I must have misunderstood exactly what you were trying to say here....?

Right. Your decision. In your situation I would definitely contact both.

Well you could act differently.

It’s done. They have been educated in accordance with gender ideology. I can’t undo that authority.

My best bet is to pressure politicians

I don’t doubt my dc so no need. I want it changed but that’s political in origin.

What was the response when you contacted the Head of PSHE and the Headteacher?

The usual suspects here to shut the women up.

I have a 'new government resolution' (I never do new year ones, but this'll do!): DO NOT ENGAGE! In the absence of a 'block poster' option, I'm going to try very very hard to simply grey rock. Better for my blood pressure (and delete count!) that way. 😁

children are already being taught gender nonsense in schools.
No, they are not. There are very strict guidelines.
Check your facts before you make unfounded accusations.

I teach in a school.

I have been given resources to deliver.

I have had meetings with our safeguarding lead about how it's not compliant with our guidelines. I got it changed.

I have sat in an assembly when the assistant head told all of yr10 that transwomen threw the first brick at Stonewall.

I see all the kids - and a few staff - wanting to change pronouns and spouting Stonewall ideology as fact.

I have a family member who is detransitioning - after having his penis and testicles removed.

Don't tell me it's not happening.

Hairyesterdaygonetoday · 06/07/2024 17:00

Thanks and congratulations to all who stood for PoW xxx

So KJK got the second lowest votes out of all her candidates?

I know this place is overrun with the KJK fan club these days, but honestly, that's hilarious IMO.

Given her narc tendancies she'll not be happy with that at all.

Sorry not sorry.

You realise this is the board for women’s rights? So posters are likely to be in favour of women who stand up for women? Not exactly surprising.

Well, like I said, how widespread and what form these things take are debatable.
I've had parents contacting me - genuinely concerned - they listened to false information about our school and practice. On a couple of occasions, a misunderstanding was to do with language usage. I'd rather they spoke to us than say, the Daily Mail.
I would encourage parents to do as suggested and ensure that they understand the curriculum, particularly PSHE. This will normally be on the Learning Platform of the school website.

It must be widespread enough for dc here to be know about gender ideology

In two different schools

Badenoch lost 26% of her vote share and was lucky to keep her seat.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election/2024/uk/constituencies/E14001402

Thank fuck Miriam Cates has gone, and Rees Mogg.

I think the results show the MN obsession with "what a woman is" isn't replicated by the voter base.

I don't think it does. I think that it is one issue of many that people had to decide on

But it doesn't happen. One person KNOWS that it doesn't happen in ANY school in the country because it doesn't happen in theirs. 🙄

CassieMaddox · 06/07/2024 16:49

See what Labour have done in their first day in office.

But of course they are going to "take away womens rights" Hmm

So much scaremongering

The use of puberty blockers has been halted in Scotland.

Our government chose a nice, quiet news day to slip out the announcement that they'll be implementing the recommendations of the #CassReview.

Yes, they are. Two of mine have, indeed, been taught this year in their schools (at y6 and y9) that there are multiple genders.
Not to mention at senior school Pride club (which DD says is mainly filled by autistic kids) where they are told by senior pupils - but supervised by a teacher - that anything said is not to be repeated out of pride club. So the kids out themselves as trans and socially transition at pride club and are told not to tell anyone. These kids are generally ND. It’s shocking. And yes of course I have contacted the school multiple times and they have yet to answer.
It is absolutely happening in schools, even since the Cass report and despite guidelines. It is naive to think that the guidelines are being respected.

Isn't the whole point of pride to be proud and not hide who you are?

I think they are OK with the idea of not getting their money back.

It's much like those employment tribunals that cost millions of pounds between them - Forstater, Bailey et al, they would never recoup the money it cost, even with the record payouts they got. But it wasn't about that, and they achieved so much more.

Money well spent, all of it.

Ah ok fair enough. Brave of people to run when they aren't expecting many votes though, whatever their beliefs

EmpressOfTheThread · 06/07/2024 16:44

I've read the Labour Manifesto, read the details from my Labour MP, listened to Keir's press conference and can't detect any suggestion of the removal of women's rights.
