I've just filled in a survey for an MSc student project. Are we allowed to post links to student surveys?

Oh goodness! Thanks for trying though, Aston!

The survey is now closed, though. Here's hoping that was as planned, or at least because she got as much input as she could handle, and not a negative reaction to the data collected!

Eek, I hope it is just that she got enough responses and closed it! (I will try and find out)

I think I have now sent the link to everyone who has asked for it!

I hope that the student is encouraged by the interest in her project 🙂

It sounds like the sort of project title whose author cannot understand why people may be 'gender critical;' and wants to understand why these people are so fearful; what sort of negative experiences have they had , and so on.

Itr might be better titled " Women's single sex spaces; why do women think they are important?" "What experiences have they had as girls and women which leads them to this position"?

Unlike some research on GC beliefs she does appear to be approaching it from a more neutral position.

The following online survey will ask you about your experiences of holding gender critical beliefs in the UK, which will include the workplace and your personal life. By taking part in this survey, you will help improve understanding of what it is like to hold gender critical beliefs in the UK. I hope findings will inform policymaking related to a wide range of issues including workplace culture, equality and inclusion, and freedom of expression. In completing the survey, you should be aware that the questions may relate to personal experiences that you may find upsetting. You can stop the survey at any time.

If it is about why women need single sex spaces (as well as the court case coming up -Sarah wanting just one female only rape counselling group and being refused cos: trans) you may find these links helpful.

All over the country formerly single sex spaces are being replaced by mixed sex spaces based on gender beliefs- instead, not as well as. So a whole load of vulnerable women are excluded so men who say they are women can have a choice. It's vindictive.

Not Shutting Up

The site received a lot of attention last week, when Maya Forstater kindly linked to one of our articles on Twitter. There were some lovely and positive and supportive comments from readers. Thank …

Thanks, Aston, I've just completed the survey, so that's one less DM for you to worry about.

I don't get that impression from having read the blurb and initial questions.

Just to say I am dashing off to an afternoon of meetings - but will send the link to others requesting it when I get back!

I think the survey design will reasonably allow the student to exclude responses that are not in good faith - there's a lot of free text. I think linking to twitter is allowed - someone has shared the link on there, so those who can access twitter could use this link:

Hate to be that person but I'd be hesitant about posting the link publicly on here. We've all seen how many bad faith actors pop up on here. It wouldn't surprise me if some of those abused the link to send in nasty so-called 'GC' views that are nothing of the sort. It would risk messing up the project.

Edited

This is a good point. I have been here for a million years with this username, but most people namechange regularly, for good reasons.
