The entire output of the last 4 tory administrations has been malicious communication, if you ask me.

Sloejelly · 30/06/2024 18:51

But I think giving the leaflet to a trans person you know and have disagreed with in the past could be.

I have disagreed with my Labour councillor in the past. Nothing that he gives me in terms of campaign materials that have been approved as such would count as malicious communication however much I disagree with him on it or are insulted by it.

You are being wilfully obtuse.
She is not a Councillor. That's not an equivalent example.

Labour campaign material doesn't talk about inflammatory subjects like "transitioning children is abuse".

Giving a leaflet saying that to the parents of a trans child could absolutely cause distress and therefore be a malicious communication.

Sloejelly · 30/06/2024 18:54

Christinapple how did you come to your conclusion that kiwifarms is problematic? Did you really on hearsay or did you read it ergo are a ‘user’ of it?

Bodeganights · 30/06/2024 18:51

Christinapple · 30/06/2024 18:28

Here's another fun fact about Kelly-Jay Keen aka Posie Parker, founder of the Party of Women whom Louise McDonald is currently a candidate for.

KJK told me she is a kiwifarms user, from a couple of brief emails we exchanged.

Think about that for a moment.

OMG hold the front page.

What a shocker.

I use bloody kiwi farms, quick call the polis

Okay,I've thought about it.

Now what?

Serious question. Do you think the leaflet reaches the threshold of malicious communication? No red herrings about harassment etc. Just straight up would you say it is a crime to publish that leaflet?.

No.
But I think giving the leaflet to a trans person you know and have disagreed with in the past could be. Or any of a number of other scenarios. Which is why I'd prefer to reserve judgement until more is known about what has happened.

The stupid "Live" was what causes the issue to me. Unnecessarily hostile to police officers who repeatedly said they were driving and unable to discuss. And the "do you know who I am?" Just came across as picking a fight. I'd have put the phone down too in that situation.

Sloejelly · 30/06/2024 18:48

CassieMaddox · 30/06/2024 18:39

Or the alleged malicious communication. Or both.

What alleged malicious communication? If the election leaflet met the standard, do you not think she would have been arrested? On the other hand we do know that the police officer interfered in an election.

She posts on Kiwi Farms so is automatically evil because some nasty comments are posted on there. You use Reddit and they post on there positively about rape. Guilt by association taints you too if we're going down that road

CassieMaddox · 30/06/2024 18:31

Yes. Exactly. That applies to the police officers too. Glad you got to the point I was trying to make.

Iam not making a point about "sorry for not toeing the party line". I'm saying if there was a crime and if Louise is penalised for it she may live to regret those tweets when she is sentenced. That’s why I think its unwise.

The crime was the police officers.

Thanks. That "think about that for a moment" has made me laugh out loud. You're comedy gold.

Nice bit of Darvo there. "Authoritarianism" my arse. I'm as entitled to an opinion as anyone else.I just tend not to believe the "it wasn't me,honest guv" versions from alleged offenders. Too much time dealing with teenagers

Thought the non -authoritarian line was innocent till proven guilty. Also the the entitlement to your opinion is matched by everyone else's entitlement even one of party of women's favourite stewards, not a journalist.

This is being blown up by PoW for their own reasons and if it turns out in fact there genuinely has been a "malicious communication" and Louise broke the law, then all these threats about "interfering with an election" etc are likely to be extremely unhelpful for those involved. Typical authoritarian vibe - 'you'll be sorry for not toeing the line.'

If one has an issue with how Posie talks then one can call Posie up on TERF TALK and tell her.

The invite was made a couple of weeks ago, but like all cowardly bullies, the person with the issue will just sit on here endlessly having a pop at someone who cannot respond, knowing she cannot respond, instead of being a big girl and tackling it face on.

I just tend not to believe the "it wasn't me,
honest guv" versions from alleged offenders. Too much time dealing with teenagers.

And the repeated tweets and phoning the police, as well as posting frankly crazy videos from a busy city centre location claiming a marked police car parked quite some distance away from you is "there for you" gives the impression to me of a movement deliberately trying to pick a fight with the police. No doubt to justify the "two tier policing" guff that seems to be cause du jour.

The electorial candidate, for a minority party, was contacted by a police constable, with regard to a claim, possibly by the constable, that an official leaflet for her party, was a malicious communication.
I am frankly astonished that a uniformed police constable was tasked, by his superior officers, to contact the candidate, rather than a more senior officer making the initial contact, given the danger of, at least, being accused of electoral interference.

Yes that's a fair point
It's going to be interesting to see what transpires

CassieMaddox · 30/06/2024 17:57

Also, how is it bullying to have an opinion on a political candidate?
Are posters on here bullying Rayner, Denyer, Nandy etc, when they repeatedly bring up their past performances and things they've done and said over the years?

NoWordForFluffy · 30/06/2024 17:56

CassieMaddox · 30/06/2024 17:49

People have repeatedly implied it and it's offensive to me because:

  1. Felix has some very MRA, extreme views that I strongly disagree with
  2. he gets brought up a lot with it bring implied posters not toeing the FWR line are him. Its a shorthand cliquey insult and a very effective way of making a personal attack without saying something offensive that would be deleted
  3. it Implies I'm a troll or a sock puppet.

If you have concerns report me to MNHQ, you've said before that you've been keeping tabs and reporting a lot of my stuff so I assume you are well aware I'm not a troll.

Keep tabs? No. I report your personal attacks on me, which are frequent. If you don't want to be deleted, don't make personal attacks! I don't have the time or inclination to 'keep tabs' on you. That's a very arrogant viewpoint you have there! And a TOTAL misrepresentation of what I've ever said.

By the way: I only started reporting you when you admitted to reporting everybody else, as it made your use of MN better for you. What's good for the goose and all that!

And I've not seen those mentions of him that you're on about, so you're reading WAY too much into my little joke! I don't spend as much time as you on here. Too busy!

As I repeatedly say, I'm not calling her to drive clicks and traffic to her channels. I keep being told she doesn't care anyway 😂
